and how often do you return items for a refund?

From the following comment, I would guess that the returns are more frequent than many customers.

Of the last 3-4 years of being a customer I've received a fair amount of damaged bottles, foods, tins, devices etc.

I've accepted much, much more stuff than I've returned and must have given Amazon thousands of my money.

It might well be down the delivery companies, but Amazon won't care who is to blame. All they will see is one person returning more than average.

As a seller on Amazon they can put restrictions on us or block us from selling certain products if our refund rate goes above 1% or 5 items on any item in a set time period or ask us to put it in better packaging.

Id have thorght the same rate will apply to customers too.

I've read elsewhere that Amazon have a return limit of 10% before they'll take action. I don't know if there's any fact to back this up as Amazon themselves are naturally very tight-lipped about this.

I do find this whole thread a bit hard to believe. I often order sweet chilli sauce from Amazon as I can't get the brand I like anywhere else and it is amazing as a marinade.

I order them in batches of 12 300ml glass bottles. Once I had them delivered and two of the bottles had broken inside, despite being a very thick and gloopy sauce just the two bottles leaked enough for it to cover everything inside and turn one corner of the box soggy. If 600ml was as bad as it was for me I cannot fathom how it would be possible to have several litres of liquid in the package and not notice.
  • Amazon will not close an account unless there is good reason to believe that there is an abuse of their policies.

Sometimes genuine customers will get caught up with it but I would imagine that is very rare.

Even if it's genuine returns/damaged items there will come a point that a business will decide it's no longer worth doing business with someone.

Why didnt they just ask for photos of the 6 unopened caps?

All bottles now have a tameper seal that will still be intact if the bottle breaks?

If we have any breakages at work we have to show the cap\neck to a supervisor to prevent any stock shrinkage.

The OP has said they don't have any form of photographic equipment, as it was already suggested to send pics to Amazon.
  • I have just Googled 'Noni Juice 750ml' & it appears that very few companies use that size bottle (most are 32fl.oz or 946ml). Of the ones that did sell in this size bottle, the first company charged just over £13 per bottle, nowhere near the £30+ the OP claims to have paid via Amazon. This also seems to fit with most of the other suppliers (ml for ml).

Add this to the implausible non-leakage of 4 Ltr of liquid, regardless of how thick it is.

Take into account the random nature of Amazon's account closure, without giving a comprehensible reason.

And consider the OP's strange & somewhat unlikely living situation (unable to post a letter, unable to take a photo, no help or contact with the outside world etc).

I can not see how anyone can possibly doubt the veracity of this scenario !
  • Seeing you say you've had frequent breakages op and you spend a fair amount on various forms of drinks it would appear you could afford a very cheap camera. I might be worth getting one for future use in case you have any problems again then at least you can take photo's to prove what you're saying.
