Another day of toast for dinner. We went out for 'lunch' but we had a cooked meal and it about 3pm by the time we ate so nobody was hungry at dinner time. Sausages rolled over for another day!!!Grocery challenge-

Welcome Tidgysue, I've just joined too and everyone's very friendly
.
Well, I still haven't spent any money, but that will have to change today. Am trying to go back to making things simple as per old style ways, so I'm going to try and make more things, so if I can make some bread, biscuits and cake, I shouldn't need much more than fruit and milk. Need to try and not get drawn in by things in a7di, I struggle so much, just picking things up thinking I need them then realise when I get home, I really don't and that they're full of additives and rubbish. Or that I already have them! Like the two cucumbers and 2 bags of spinach that in really not going to have time to eat!
Edit, b@gger! Just realised I need nappies!!! Grrrr!!!0 -
missymoo - could you freeze the spinach? I often freeze spinach because the bags are far too big for just me and DH. When I've frozen it I tend to use it in curries and/or stirfries rather than as a vegetable side dish.
Unbelieveably I've got off to a great start to May - haven't spent anything on groceries so far so now up to 4 NSDs! Need to go shopping today so back later with total.

A couple of spends in Sainsbugs and Asda and I'm almost halfway through the budget, with mostly perishable items in the fridge and basics still to buy. I've included some accessories in the budget that I picked up for a wedding. Had to as I noticed the heels coming off the shoes I was going to wear, and had no budget for it otherwise.
OH cooking tonight though :jKeep reading books!
July grocery challenge START: £150.
total SPENT £127.53, REMAINING £22.37.0 -
well I failed at avoiding the supermarket over the weekend
£105.50 / £350
all I bought was some lunchy bits and snacks and it came to £20 Arghhh. I also got a few toys in the clearance section to put away for Christmas but I haven't included them in the budget. I think I can still keep in budget so I'm on trackMay Grocery Challenge -£216/4000 -
reporting £10 on lunch/snack bits before our 4 days in London - first time in ages we've taken stuff to a tournament with us but now I know what we eat and what we don't eat when we take it and what we need more/less of so much better prepared for next time. plus they are usually 2.5 days not 4 days!
I am 100% skint now thanks to buying early birthday presents etc for bf's birthday in November. Very glad I stocked the freezer up with lots of veggies etc at the start of the month. should only need milk and bin bags really from now until payday!************************************

Sorry i've been ill and rished off my feet for months nows. I remember someone saying about cat food and pet supplies and where i get them fron.
Cat litter wood based 30 litres is £5.99 from B&M it is absolutely fantastic.
Nappy sacks biodegrable 100 for £1 (poundland)
When the cats use the litter trays for a stinky one i use nappy sacks to dispose of them. Keeps the litter fresh and use less litter in the long run.
cat biscuits complete food I normally buy pets at home or any supermarket brand for the cats. ~Think we buy 4kgs for a month. So £12 ish
But i have found this on amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003ZGGQKY?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
10kgs of Whiskas biscuits for £17.60
Bit more expensive but seems to be one of the better deals and its delivered straight to our door. Free postage. To be honest only buying it from amazon as i'm being lazy
Cat food wet 24 tins of wet food. 2 each day between the six cats.
Now i've been trying different ones. But this brand seems to be adored by my six fur babies.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006O8Y4JK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
Supercat Premium Chunks Variety 400 g (Pack of 12) £7.08
Which i order two and have them delivered to the door.
Hope this is okay for you.
Not exact amount just purely to give an idea of what we spend.0 -
First spend for May GC of £17.89 split between Mr Ts; Ald!; Icel*nd & Morries. Actual spend was more than that but a few items come from different budgets.
Most of the spend was on fruit and veg but also needed some loo rolls & eggs, both of which I got in Icel*nd. If you haven't tried the Petal loo rolls I think they are definitely worth a try @ £1 for 4 rolls.
Off to update signature.
