Welcome to the new members and I hope you all manage to reduce both your spends and any wasted food that has to be thrown away.
Went to A1di this morning and spent £29.25 - slightly higher than usual but things we needed. Picked up a halloumi cheese not something have tried before but just had two slices which I cooked and had with watercress and tomato salad along with a sweet chilli sauce dip - not sure how it compares to other halloumi cheese but would buy it again as enjoyed it.
Have a casserole slowly cooking for tonight with some crusty bread and there is a home made egg custard (without the pastry) for afters also have about a dozen strawberrys to use up as well. If they don't get eaten today will have them for a snack tomorrow.
    MARCH £62.38/250

I would like to join again. My challenge amount is £200 for May.
Overspent in April, but it was my first month and so I was still quite happy with amount.
I'm going to try and make it to Aldi and I've got a £12 off £60 first online shop code for Tesco this month which should save me a bit.
I'm currently at £80.74/£200 but this is partly due to Makro shop and stocking up on special offers.
    GC £34.14/£200

Ugh... so I've got a head cold - Feeling really tired and dizzy, so called in sick and have just slept for most of the day.

Good news, means I couldn't spend anything, bad news, work up overheated and feeling awful so staggered into the kitchen.

Feeling more human now after about a gallon of water and some food, but just realised I've eaten the sarnies I made for lunch tomorrow and friday.

:o Not good for the diet or the budget.

I need to work tomorrow (and feeling much better after 18 hours asleep:eek:) so I'm hoping some cooked diced chicken breast will defrost in time. That and fruit should keep me hopefully.

This is all because I got *soaked* and frozen coming back from the market on Sunday...

Total stands at £80 this month, so far.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

    Hi all,

So far, £86.74/£250 for the month which is food for the week and a couple of extra boxes of cat food (on offer) to last a couple of weeks.

Lunches all packed and ready for tomorrow and, hopefully, our third NSD of the month will be on the cards tomorrow too!

    Hope everyone's having a good week :)
