April round up.
OP £1777.17 / £2500
SAVE £1507.21 / £3000
EARN £566.15 / £1500
Mortgage balance - £59,986.52
Mortgage percentage left to pay - 26%
91 months left
Mortgage balance was just above £60k so I had to sort that out didn’t I? 😃 yay. In another number bracket!!!
Due to the possible house move, most of the money is just being put in the save pile now until we know what we are doing. Next two months expensive with both car insurances, MOTs and a service due on mine so savings will be a little low.

Offered on a house yesterday that would see us mortgage free. We were lucky to get in there first but no answer until next week when a million other viewings are scheduled so we will be lucky if this comes off I reckon. We are prepared to go over the asking price a little. But oh mortgage freedom is so tempting.Just done a survey about my dogs carbon footprint.m and their TV viewing habits. Cant say I’ve ever given either much though. Who comes up with these surveys?!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

The house sounds like it has such possibilities! And surveys ... surveys are very odd sometimes.2023: the year I get to buy a car4

We have also offered on another house over the asking price along with five others so the owners are making their decision over the weekend. This would also see us mortgage free with a lump left over over. Work is needed on the house but nothing too radical. So the wait continues. At least come Tuesday / Wednesday we will know about both.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Can I just be not very MSE here and ask if I’m the only person who hates car insurance renewals? I’ll spend hours doing surveys and searching for the best prices on things but insurance renewals drive me potty! I can cope with 1/2 quote processes tops. As long as I beat the renewal price I’m happy! With that said, car insurance renewal for car no 1 done. I saved £26 with a possible £25 cashback but I never rely on those. So I’m happy with that.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

YES! I definitely can't stand it either. This year I had prices from the same insurer covering a range of about £160 - for the same insurer with the same policy. Then I had to spend ages re-checking all the details to make sure it was them being inconsistent and not me doing something wrong 🙁!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
