Focus group didn’t materialise which was a bit frustrating. But in better news, I called our lease car company to check when we had to do the MOT and I mentioned we are well down on mileage due to Covid lockdowns so they are sending out a revised quote for the rest of the contract. Plus we don’t have to do the service / MOT till June so a bit of a reprieve there. Have booked it in though for an oil change so a little expense coming our way.
Had a half human online chat with Tax credits last night as our payments are Reducing in April quite a bit and I’ve no idea why. Long story short, they are estimates so I’ll know more early April.
Also traded some books with zifit, so have a payment coming my way next week!
Longer time readers here will know our house had been on and off the market like a yo-yo in the last two years, been sold twice and then we haven’t proceeded due to pandemic and just a general ‘not feeling it’. We got a whiff the field we back on is likely to have planning applied for it in a few years. Really gutted about it. At the minute it’s just tattle, but the source I do trust so we are going to probably go back on the market again. It was always going to happen at some point and considering our county is popular right now and that no official applications have been made, we will get the best price we can now. So watch this space I guess. Usual considerations of whether we downsize a little / but wisely so that the mortgage can be paid off need to factor. With that I’m off to the greenhouse for a bit. Need to repot some seeds the cat decided to upend from the kitchen windowsill in the night!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Oof, all a bit touch and go for you, debtfree - re the focus group, I've only ever done one - when I still worked in London every Friday, I went to one on the banking sector just north of the City. Sat in a circle blathering, mostly about Martin Lewis
and got paid £50 in cash, it was great
Hope another one comes your way soon.

Pretty uninspiring looking at Rightmove yesterday. Tricky to know what market we are looking at until we get this valued again. No real plans today, pottering and some weeding and sorting in the garden maybe.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Had to smile this week about a survey talking about how lack of socialisation during lockdown has affected the dog!!!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Poor wuff-dog! Moving house seems to be very hit and miss during the pandemic - couple of nephews have experience of searching in the last year, one abandoned it, the other is still researching. Are you experimenting with changing parameters?2023: the year I get to buy a car2

Yes KC, expanded areas and twiddled with different things. I don’t think we are really that fussy but whenever we move here or indeed when we moved to this place we have always struggled to find places we like. Always ending up with a gem at the last minute though so maybe the same will happen here.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
