FBThree-yup, I adore root beer too! They sell it in Asda in cans (can't remember the brand), but it's not half as good as the A&W stuff! I always pay by cash at Wing Yip, shall bear what you said about your friends card in mind, that's for sure!!

Hello again everyone!
Why can't I do 'thanks' tonight?? I've tried a dozen times and there's no response - is there a maximum number you can do per day or something (I've been on here hours today!!!)
Thank you so much for the messages of support from so many of you eg shez and fbthree. I felt so awful earlier but I've been out for a long walk (3.5-4 miles) down our river (not flooded) and I'm exhausted but a lot more cheerful.
rchddap1 - what a nightmare about your house - I can't think of anything to say other than 'big sympathetic hugs to you'.
Pennypincher - my ex-inlaws were truly awful - they were the pillars of the local church and were a disgrace to Christianity - horrible, manipulative, undermining the marriage from the start and awful to me and our son when it was over. I can only sympathise. My new inlaws are bizarre and very odd but perfectly pleasant!
Hope you all have a good evening, what's left of it.
I'm going to crawl into bed and watch the sky grow dark - although I live in a very built up area there's some trees in neighbouring back gardens and the view when I'm sitting in my bed is lovely - I can almost pretend I'm in the country.

Happy Birthday Anniestar and PoshPaws!!:bdaycake: :bdaycake:
Just a quick hello to everyone from Spain, just had a quick scan, so pleased those without water are slowing getting some back on, and the weather seems to be improving a little. I'll not upset you by saying what the weather is like here, but the tan is coming on nicely.:o :j :j
Take care

Happy birthday to anniestar and posh paws!:bdaycake: :bdaycake:
Had a quiet day but got a phone call from the estate agents - the couple that viewed our house on Saturday have just put in an offer ---- £40K less than the valuation!
Explained politely that we were not in that much of a rush to sell and they were only the third viewers - so "No Thanks!
DD (21) was de to meet a friend at around 5 o clock and mentoned he was going to the pub for a bite to eat - when I said that I would be happy to feed him- she anwered that as it was only ten minutes notice she did not think that I could do it- so had not asked.
When he was presented with spiced pork loin chop, sauted potatoes and potato salad on the side (made with gherkins for a change!) - she was really impressed!
Pennypincher
I agree with the others about your "outlaw!"
You are not a horrible person!!
Julia
