LOL! at being excited about doing the washing!
Just had lunch; I made a giant salad with pepper, carrot, kholrabi, lettuces, mushrooms, and garlic prawns that we forgot to eat yesterday; OH took them out on Sat when we decided we weren't going to go to the play, then had takewaway instead! (DH was really exhausted that day). Salad again tomorrow for lunch. And had my last portion of bread pudding for dessert. The rest is for DH.
ON to the x stitch ( i konw I keep saying that but then things I have ot do keep popping up!)0 -
Have just spent the morning giving my front room a good 'bottoming', as they used to say. I have cleared and wiped out all the cupboards and display unit. Skirtings wiped and furniture pulled out (where possible) - carpet thoroughly hoovered and curtains are now blowing on the line. And all very OS with a bucket of warm water, vinegar and microfibre cloths - my windows and mirror are sparkling!:D Just need to iron the curtains and table cloth and put it all back and I am done - until the next room!!
This site has given my so much advice, inspiration and help - cannot begin to tell you.
Off to do something else productive now (which might involve boiling the kettle) :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

JackieO Your posts are always SO interesting.Thank you for sharing them with us.
Harribo safe journey.
Pen-Pin was thinking about your daughter and how sensible she is.What a fantastic example she has. I went to the Soviet Union(as it was then) as part of my degree and was totally skint on the journey home (we went overland) AND I was supposed to be an adult!! Yet your clever young lady sees something she likes, budgets for it rather than spending(like I did)her money on carp(!) Fantastic.please tell her how wonderful all her "aunties " think she is.
Anyway am off now to do nothing much in particular(!!!!) Have a great afternoon/evening, and thank you again.A XXXXBlind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

Just a quick "hi!" to everyone :hello:
I'm at the local library using their internet access as our broadband hasn't been transferred after our move this time last week.
:bdaycake: Happy birthday to all today and those I've missed :bdaycake:
We go on holiday to France on Friday for a couple of weeks, so hopefully the broadband will be fixed on our return?!
Spag bol tonight. I wouldn't normally have anything so "hot" during July, but it's still quite mild here.
(((hugs))) to anyone who has been affected by the floods.

That's it.
I'm unemployed  and skint.
They bought me a huge bouquet of flowers and a cake (would rather have had the money :rotfl: ) and gave me a good send off.
Two months now until I start college and a chance to try and get my life in order....
I'll start with an OS dinner, I think.
