I emailed abuse to ask them to reconsider the decision to merge the threads, simply because I read on another thread that is what you should do if you believe threads have been merged in error.
In this case I do think it was a mistake to merge this thread with the other one, but I don't think it was done for bad intent or was in any way an abuse.
I just wanted to say sorry as I thought that it was down to me mentioning our af support thread.
I would never have any other intention than to try and help the op. I don't usually post on any other threads but her post really did upset me. I do hope she will be ok?
So sorry again.

Budgie, your post was very supportive and sensitive. I am sure that no-one could possibly take offence at anything you said. My comments weren't directed at you in any way, and I sincerely apologise if that is how my post came across.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

I too hope Far can find this merged thread, it has taken me 1/2 hour to find it, I was hoping for an update from her.
Could this thread be unmerged, I personally was on the verge of given up looking for it.0 -

Hi Habibi, how are you?
I'm okay, bit low as usual, but Christmas was nice and not too eventful.
Its been 3 years since my last drink, but find myself thinking about it a lot more lately.
Hope everyone is wellStay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Hello everybody, I hope you are all well and sober. I have not had the greatest last 3 months. 3 times in hospital and 2 operations but I am well on the way to recovery now. Have a happy and sober new year.Something Really Interesting0

Well done for finding the thread habibi, I was wondering whether it would ever surface again.
Poor you Brodev, sounds like you've really been through the mill. Glad to hear you are at last on the road to recovery. I bet you can't wait to get over to Portugal again.
26 months (to the day) since I had a drink. Had a stressful time recently when some money was unauthorisedly taken from OH's debit card by a hotel we'd stayed in in New York in August, and it took a lot of hassle to get it back. Must admit I fancied a stiff drink on at least one occasion while that was going on, but the feeling passed in moments.
I did have fish cooked in beer batter when we went out recently, but I'm not counting that as I couldn't taste it and it was cooked anyway!
Here's wishing a very happy 2010 to all of us - we have all done so very well to keep the faith and keep our resolve. :grouphug::coffee::wave:I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
