I've just finished my ironing and since Kondoing my tops I automatically fold them ready to stand upright in the drawer. They certainly don't come out any more creased than when they were piled on top of each other, probably less so. I love the fact that I can see them all at a glance and take one out easily. I suppose it helped a bit that I weeded out quite a few as well so they're not squeezed together too tightly.

    Give it a try!:)

I've gone from hangers to folding, and no they don't crease. You smooth as you go, so no wrinkles :)

All you ladies contemplating Colour Analysis - DH bought me a day as a Birthday present over 20 years ago. Best money ever spent. There were 4 of us who went to her house & she did lunch too. A very enjoyable day and its saved me loads in money and time. Even DH knows which colours I will wear. One of the things she said at the time which made sense was to move everything out of the wardrobe that wasn't your colour & see how long it takes before you need it again. I can honestly say everything I moved out never came back 'cos they were all the things that didn't spark Joy anyway!

:o Possibly. But we're your online pals and we don't judge. What's going to happen to the dupes now? Is hubby embarrassed at all?

I'm feeling a bit :jas I read online that my HWRC is going to have a hazardous waste amnesty day and that some of the things which I've had cluttering up the premises can be accepted then. Woop!

I'm having a joyous time with two new-to-me seersucker blouses. Y'know, that fabric with the built-in crinkles? They're very wearable, I love the pearly snap fasteners and.........and........... ya don't need to iron them! Looking crisp and tidy and these things just wash & go. I love it.

Also loving reading about your journeys through life and through wardrobes. It's a beggar being in the middle part of your life. You don't exactly feel like dressing like a teen but you don't want to dress like a great-granny, either.

I feel that the clothes will be being revisited as I am sure a 5 drawer c of d and a 3 ft hanging rail, plus a small hamper of jumpers is excessive for just one person. I shall have some things out and on my back in the next few weeks and, if they're not joyful, they can go. I bought most of them very cheaply, so won't be donating a lot of cash value, but they still need to go if they're not being used.

:T Onwards and outwards, my lovelies.

I had house of colour colour analysis and image ans makeup advice.

Was worth every penny as I'm better dressed, happier and more confident in how I look. I have a sense of style. I've stuck to my colour for around 10 years now so was a total bargain really!

Don't feel like I've got much done since I did mine and DDs clothes, although I knew it would take a while between kiddies and paid stuff. But, finally getting some time to myself tomorrow afternoon and Friday so am planning to do DS clothes and the kitchen cupboards :T

Am also on the lookout for winter boots for me. I bought a fab, joy inspiring pair some winters back that it's time I let go of - I love what they used to be, they have served me well. I'd like something equally snug and smile inducing:)

    Morning all.
Left the pile of DVDs sitting in the hall (just to remind DH how much space 'extras' take up) while we were out last night I mentioned that it was strange some I know he's wouldn't have given away are missing so there must be some more elsewhere. He then recalled putting another large plastic crate of DVDs under the TV storage shelving! So I have more to search for today. I know I've sort of gone off on a tangent with DVDs at the mo and I'm still supposed to be doing paperwork but I think you'll agree that the space the DVD collection takes up is emmense so if I can help Dh along the way it will be a massive section of kondoing that he can do when he's ready. I've resigned myself to loosing this week doing the prep work for him on this section because he honestly wouldn't have the patience to even make a start so by weeding the duplicates I'm at least letting him have a bit of clearance and he may be persuaded to let some of the 'one watchers' go.

Have a good day all I'll be popping in during the day when I need a break from DVD shuffling.

I'm still on paperwork too Mrs M. I'm sure the stuff is breeding when I leave the house !! I've put out 6 recycling bin bags of shredded paper so far ... and I don't think I am even half way through

And to keep my interest in kondoing going and to try keep it a bit interesting, I have taken to clearing at least one kitchen cupboard each weekend, although I didn't the weekend just gone as I was painting fences instead.
