I have also kondoed 2 husbands but the one I have now does bring me a lot of joy so I am lucky.I have kondoed people out of my life and the only regret is not having done it years ago :rotfl:People I cant kondo (family) for example. I keep at arms length and dont get involved in any small chat if I can avoid it
Also hiding if they knock on the door helps :rotfl:That was a joke but I have been known to do that when I am busy.
iQueen and Mavvymoo, I am impressed with the number of husbands you have Kondoed. I know I don't have the courage for it nor do I want to face the consequences such as giving up our house.
I have done my best to Kondo a Sister-in-law though but as it's family, it's more arms-length than complete Kondo. Though I can go many weeks without seeing her. I decided a long time ago that she was what James Altucher would call a carppy person:

VJsMum, BHF seem to have a subset of stores which do furniture and small electricals exclusively, might there be one in your area?
I read about colour theory years ago (went to art school and studied costume at degree level). I'm what's classified as a Warm Autumn.
It's an interesting thing. I worked with a woman who was a pale as me, but with black hair and bright blue eyes (definate Welsh ancestry) whereas I have reddish hair and green eyes (mongrel Saxon - probably). She could wear a true bright red, which looks ghastly on me, whereas I look very good in burgundy, which didn't flatter her at all.
We held our wrists out side by side and my skin has a yellowish undertone to its pallor, whereas hers had a bluish undertone. Hence us suiting the opposite colours on the spectrum.
One thing I learned by experience is not to wear beige near my face - makes me look like I'd died the previous day and somehow failed to notice...........:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Morning everyone - help! those that have had colour analysis - should I put off my appointment until my light summer tan has gone? For those looking for presents - there are cheaper options if you go with a friend or group of friends - mine is 1 to 1 as I don't have anyone!:(
VJsmum - some Cancer Research shops also take electricals.
Just about to have a coffee and Kondo a file of papers before I go to my local CR shop for my shift. It is in a small town so worth a try depending on where you live. They are usually very helpful eg if we cannot take a larger piece of furniture we'll always give BHF details to the enquirer.
Have a good day everyone. xJuly 16 £95/£200

Morning all.
Loving the colour analysis chat, haven't a clue what I am but I know that some tones make me look like death warmed up.
Scanning the lounge today I'm thinking messy, I need to clear some cards out, with having end of term thank yous, birthday and wedding anni all out together it looks too much every surface is taken over and they are cluttered up so you can't read any. Also need to tidy the table as that's got several works in progress on it. Overspill of me treating myself to chiropodist appt the other day, I mentioned DS1s badly infected ingrown toenail to him, he told me that he wouldn't treat him if he wasn't happy BUT ds1 was welcome to go round and chat to him. Being 20 I wasn't sure how that would go down, he's been suffering for 3 years since someone knocked into him on holiday and a wooden skim board landed on his toe. Various visits to the Drs have resulted in repeat ABs but nothing more. He came home from last nights chat, with his toe all cleaned up and dressed with special ointment that "is better than ABs" and an appt for next week to start treating the problem. It will cost £15 money very well spent I think. I honestly don't think I would have made my appt if it wasn't for kondoing so another good result for MKSPC~12 ot 124

I am almost finished paper now. I has not been as enjoyable to do as other things. I feel as if all I have done for the past 3 days is shred paper!! Nearing the end now. I have a small pile of paperwork that needs to be kept that will be put into polypockets and into a folder this morning.0

Sometimes its the only way when its family

Just popping on to say that most of us veer towards the colours that suit us. My CMB session was just for colour. I couldn't afford the full works but its stood the test of time. There are also books by CMB on what flatters body shapes too. I'm an ectomorph - tall & slim(ish) so anything with a peplum makes me look like a standard lamp!

"the main reason I've come off paperwork is ive misplaced my roll of recycng bags" - Mrs_Moneypenny
Isn't it infuriating when that happens? I have routines in place, but they grind to a halt when I have to overcome something, such as looking for an item, or removing an item that was put on top or in front. Then I have to stop and think, and quickly loose my train of thought and my momentum. When that happens, items start to live 'near' or 'around' where they are supposed to live, and mess starts to build. It can be something quite simple, like a pair of trousers left on my blanket box, which will prevent me from quickly opening the box, so I pile the clean sheets (that live inside the box) on top as well, and in no-time my bedroom feels a mess. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590 -
Hmmm - must move the pile of clean washing that needs putting away from the top of my blanket box.
