I have very few clothes but am not sure what colours really suit me as my hair turns greyer!!! Have ventured into a few different ones - to my normal grey black and navy recently. So to save money in future I am just about to book my present!! Wish me luck!!!
I too need to carry on kondoing and will do so at the weekend - too busy now!!
Thank you I think I will give this a try maybe a good starting point for me :T

I feel that if I Kondo my clothes I will be left with literally the clothes I stand up in and I don't have the money to buy more. I'm rarely lucky in the CS and I loath trying to by clothes with children in tow - so will have to wait until Oct to go out in my own.
Does anyone have any insights on this? I'd like to start and achieve a kondo'd life / home etc but feel myself procrastinating
I recognise that feeling when my kids were small (I had 3 under 5s). No matter how much I loved them, there were days when I felt like I was glued to the floor.
How about starting with something else and leave the clothes until another time?
I know the book says to go by categories but I think we've established on here that sometimes we have to take a different path to get to the same destination. (edited to add - CEW beat me to it ! )I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
OMG I have made that call to an image consultant :eek: This is a short bit on her website which made me decide she was the one for me
Your wardrobe is actually a TOOL BOX for your own style. The only things in it should be clothes and accessories that work with your colouring, shape and lifestyle – for who you are TODAY. It shouldn’t contain items which you can’t bear to get rid of, things that need mending or cleaning or even rolls of wrapping paper and bundles of wool and knitting needles for that jumper you were going to make 7 years ago! (This is what was in mine before I learnt the tricks of the trade)

Whenever I get rid of things, some that have been around for a long time, I have the feeling that I'm blossoming, like a pea shoot bursting from the ground.
Life may not be easy, but, for me, it's less stressful if I live it in 'direct contact', not hidden or head in the sand. When my problems are mine, the joy of conquering them is also mine (does this make sense to anyone?). I don't want to hide or be buried in clutter, old friendships, or nasty family relations. So, I kondo, and find that life is flowing again. Molehills are reduced to their proper size, because the mountains of clutter, the looming clouds of tax forms, etc. have been removed. (I seem to wax poetic at work - better get back to earning my money. New boss started last week, we're still testing waters both ways.)Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590 -
This process of stripping down belongings leaves you wide open to look inside yourself and you are somehow compelled to deal with past and present all in one go. The comfort blanket of (stuff) has gone and its like you are in an open space with no cover at all.So you are either picked off by preditors or you outsmart them.
I call the comfort blanket a 'barricade'. I have been hiding behind it for years now I being the real person who,for whatever reason and it could be many, decided to build it and disappear:( I keep warning the family that once I emerge I will be a different person but some how I don't think they believe me!Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Hi grunnie I just put image consultants norfolk (my area) and there was loads but this lady stood out to me.
Firstly she has the same name as me :rotfl:
secondly everything on her page made so much sense and she said you need 15-25 items max  Which was the clincher for me :rotfl:She does Colour and body shape styles she comes to your home and goes though your wardrobe with you :eek: and fits things around your lifestyle and will also go shopping with you
Only had a brief chat with her so far so will be able to let you know more later when I speak to her again. Dont know the costs yet but TBH I dont care it will save me a fortune in bad buys and mistakes I think. and set me on that final road to freedom :T
So will update later and well done on your (nearly) fully Kondo'd life:D
