Horse agility looks like great fun!
I took the decision to retire my big lad a couple of years ago because of his arthritis. If he'd been the sort of horse that was content to plod and was the same regardless of whether he was ridden once a month or everyday I would probably still be riding him. Unfortunately he needs more work than his joints can take to keep him a sane ride - he just doesn't appreciate his limits!!! It was a tough decision but the best one for both of us in the long run. He's now very happy being a very pampered pet!0 -
Happy February everyone
Another month closer to being DF!
ScattyS - Thank you for the comments. I do appreaciate them.
So back to work today and the weekend has flown past. I am toally unorganised as after thinking we didn't have anything on, we had an event that last all yesterday afternoon until 9pm! So this morning was mad dashing around getting uniform sorted, bags sorted, tired children dressed and myself to work.
I filled up with fuel on the way to work and we're on target fuel wise but the grocery budget is taking a beating so the next couple of weeks will be minimal again.
It's so cold here this morning, no clouds and -3 but no ice etc. Really crisp, sharp morning. I haven't had a cup of tea yet and I have a bit of a thick head even though I only had 2 glasses of red, so I shall sort that out first then report back when I've done some work.
Oh in other money news. I was given a fab rating for last years work so that means when the rate rises come round, I will be getting a better % than averageI've put down 5% into my forecast as 3.5% is standard so who knows. Might be over, might be under.

I think you are being very sensible and responsible as far as the big girl goes, although I know that doesn't make it any easier to bear
I'm sure you'd have no trouble finding something nice to ride, there are so many horses out there whose owners would love someone like you to help them out with exercise.
Well done on the work rating front, fantastic! :TTotal Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

Right, I'm sorted.
I've checked and updated the student loan total. I think I will pay this off in March if we get the bonus through and it's enough as that free's up £146 a month to go to the CC. It's due to be paid in October anyway but I think the feeling of clearing something will be a good one and a boost (not that I need one!).:T
I've put my invoice in for January for job 2 and that's £70, all be it a few pennies. This month though £60 of that is going to the loan pony (5 payments in Jan) so only £10 from Job 2 to CC. However I do have that extra child benefit payment this month which will go to it too.
Loans and CC payments up to date for now though. I'm just going to do some calculations and I will be back.Debt - CCV £3792

Just noticed your post Pink. Thank you re the big girl - I will keep you posted.
I've updated my totals for Jan's pay (so month of Feb) and will be £55 off sub 33k. I'll sell a couple of things on ebay that no longer fit the kids but I think making another £55 before end Feb might be a tall order. I do like a challenge though.

Thank you
I got some work in last night for job 2:D Only two short files but that's good, we're off the starting blocks for February's invoice. Just under £15 I think it will be.
I'm meeting my Mam for lunch today. We see each other all of the time but never enough to catch up properly so I am looking forward to that.
DS was up again last night as this cold is really lingering. He has earache, temp and is full in his head so I said tonight, I'm going to dose him up and get him better.
I'm also stopping having early nights (earlier than 10) as I am waking up at 3:30/4 ish and then feel dreadful when I wake to get up at 6 ish. I like my sleep too much to get up at 4
I don't know if I said but at the weekend we decluttered a DVD cabinet thing. We threw a load out that don't work, kept some old faithfuls and found a few that aren't ours! So everything that is left in the cabinet will be coming with us. There's another one to do but it's full of photos and will take some time to do as I'd like to organise them etc. They are in the dining room and the only other things in there are our ornaments (we don't have many, they were bought for us when we married) and photo frames, dining furniture and the wooden masks we have on the walls. So once I do the other cabinet, that room is move readyNothing like planning ahead.
Tonight I will be working til 5 then depending if I get any work in for Job 2, I will be working 8-10 for the day job. I'll do tea and sort the kids out in between that and will hoover round. I have ironing that desperately needs doing but CBA!

Moving rapidly into Tuesday afternoon. Had a lovely lunch with Mam and a good catch up. We're going to try and do it once a month.
She is so supportive to help me become DF - I am really lucky.
A couple of meetings this afternoon to get through. I've emailed Job 2 also to ask if there's any extra work on. Feeling motivated and ready to kick some debt's butt!Debt - CCV £3792

Another small job in tonight so a bit more pocket money for February's invoice. Standing at £27 so another £21 to find which pays for the loan pony and then I'm into overpayment territory. I won't get paid this until March though so can't be included in this month's figures.
Day job wise, I've just found out that I will be getting a new boss sooner than expected and I already know him. He's ok and knows his onions so I hope he is sensible enough not to change things up. They are recruiting externally for the job that should be mine too. So so frustrating as I can do it with my eyes closed, but I am in the wrong location. If I was DF I would be looking elsewhere for a job as this is the 2nd time this has happened to me now in the same role. Anyway, rant over and I just need to keep my head down and become DF and secure my mortgage.Debt - CCV £3792
