    Afternoon all.

Had a lovely lie in until nearly 10am :D Dragged DD out of bed and we agreed that we're leaving our trip to town until her INSET on 26th, ex will take her tomorrow to where she needs to go this week ;) So plans for today are to get the laundry done, including clearing the ironing pile which is quite small, meal plan and book a Mr A delivery for tomorrow. DD is doing homework, and I'll gently encourage her to do some revision this afternoon.

I'm going to go and play some games to see if I can wake my brain up :o

There's a horrible smell in my house. DD and I have just spent 30min wandering around the house trying to find the source. We've come to the conclusion that the smell is coming from skip number 6 outside. They've put carpet over it from another job to stop the papers etc blowing away then its rained overnight, now its sunny but the wind is howling and must be blowing the smell towards our house _pale_ Its going to be a long weekend I fear. I have all the automatic air fresheners set to go off every 18 minutes in the hopes it won't get too bad.

Off to make a coffee and then I think I'm going to put my headphone on and watch something online as DD is watching old episodes of Dr Who and I don't like them :o

High shelves and stuff on them cleaned. Dogs walked again, the wind is stronger now than it was this morning, and I saw someone walking their dog with just a t-shirt on. I know the sun is out but.......

As my face is freezing, I'm just warming up with yet another cuppa and will then do sewing (yay). Have also found 5 items to declutter. Must update siggy.

I've eaten a huge frog and cleared a big hotspot. Getting everyone to claim their belongings and put them away is slightly more challenging.

I've booked our summer holiday today, it's lovely to have something hot and sunny to look forward to on a freezing January day.

Thank you for your kind thoughts on Thursday, it made me feel better.

4 x WM, 2 x TD. Changed 2 beds and put the dogs bedding outside to blow on the line. She is not amused and keeps trying to get on the kitchen sofa. The bar stools are now on the sofa to keep the dog off.

xx_jo_xx - DH has been were you are now and I know how horrible it must be for you. hopefully the truth will out and you can polish your halo instead of empting your ironing basket.

Valli I hope the money tree blows in your direction, rotten luck with the car.

I need to get to work, I think the WM is finishing so I will deal with that and go.

    Things to do today:

Go to indoor cycle (forecast says rain and wind so don't fancy parkrun today!)
    Post wedding thank you cards
    One load of washing
Sort out shelves of tops in wardrobes
    Practise Spanish
    Take blog photos
    Write a blog post
    S&S kitchen and bathroom

We braved our local park run. My six year old decided he wanted to do it. I ran there and did 6 miles and when I met hubby there he shared that little nugget. So the three year old was in the running buggy with daddy and I plodded round with my eldest. We had been running for two minutes before the heavens opened and it threw it down! I asked him if he wanted to stop and even though he was soaked to the skin he wanted to carry on! He did 41 minutes. I was so proud of his determination. I did add that next time he does it, he will find it a lot easier as there will be no rain and no wind! When we got home we had baths and showers, all got in our onesies and had hot chocolate on the sofa watching a film! Lovely!

debt free as of feb 2015. Now saving for deposit for new house! Moving in June 2015!!!
  • Wow, good timing. Have just got in from walking the dog, brought most of the washing in - and the heavens have opened!

In fact it's raining so hard that the washing that is still out there can stay. I have just put another load in so that might have to go on the airer, but we shall see.

Tax return done and submitted. OHs accounts done, just the monthly bills to send out. Having a cup of tea and a little slice of Christmas cake while I thaw out and start the next bit.

Well done on the parkrun Frizzle and well done to your boy! I hate running in the wind, rain I dont mind but wind is a different matter.

    Right - invoices ...

It has been a sorting day here, can't believe how late it is.

No point in changing electricity supplier until term finishes in March
Will threaten to leave virgin at the end of next week
DH to sort out DS2's phone contract
    Lights away
    Pictures up

Declutter, box of old dressing up stuff from the loft sorted for chairty, scrap store, bin.
Cricket stuff sorted, bag for the club of stuff we don't need
Few other random items for the bin.

Decided I want to move my desk from the DR to DH's office (yes he is chuffed not!). This may save having an extention done and will allow for a decent sized DR table. This will involve a huge amount of sorting, shuffling etc but I think will be worth it - I shall start tomorrow.

    Bathroom cleaning next.

De cluttered a few hours teaching this morning. Got there and realised I'd forgotten flipchart paper :eek: had no time to come home to get it so with a mad dash to a homebase ran the session with bits of plain lining wallpaper :rotfl:

Have hoovered loft stairs, all of upstairs and bedrooms and cleaned out and hoovered the coffee table which is an old old chest housing all the grown ups board games :)

Dh has been teaching the kids chess :D they love it! Going to kick them outside in a bit with their new football and goal.

Flylady confession time. Today is the first time in about 3 yrs that the loft stairs have been hoovered  they were fairly thick with dust and fluff I must say......
