nicki, however bad my house seems you have mad me feel much better about my families clutter.

back from a lovely meal with dh, waiting a phone call from DS2 to say his parties finished and he wants picking up. had to make a detour home police had closed the main road into our estate and flaged us in the back way. hope all are ok

  • Wow Nicki 7 skips - that should make the rest of us feel better!

I have been AWOL. 10 hours done on job number 2 this week (about double the normal amount) plus an afternoon at the voluntary job has really thrown me. I have managed the basics though so its not too terrible (well so long as you dont look at the stairs carpet).

I have got a tax return to finish tomorrow, paperwork for OH's business which must be done and then other bits a pieces. Its not going to be a restful weekend but next week should be better!

Oh and its really windy here which is scary. We had a lot of damage done to our roof and shed/fence a few years ago so I am a very nervous about it happening again. A stiff drink is needed I think.

had a lovely chill out evening with OH de cluttering to programs! Haven't had an evening together all week so this was the top of the list. Run some errands today: picked up all the stuff for ds2's party, went to see mum and dad, dud a general tidy, cleaned the utility room and mopped and hoovered.
The wm stopped working at one point. Hubby pulled it out to fix it and I made him leave it out so I could sweep and mop underneath. It was disgusting!
Our bedroom is my current frog. The last couple of days I have tried to clear a little every time I go in! My sideis looking better! Need to tackle this tomorrow!

Here is my list for tomorrow.

Go for a run with friend
    Send birthday card
    Shopping (including party food)
    Sort out party bags
    Wrap pass the parcel!

Wednesday ~ Master Bedroom and Landing!
    Strip, wash and replace bedding.
    Declutter the floor and vacuum!
Clear the top of at least 1 cupboard, wipe it down.
Sort out your toiletries and squeeze new ones in to be used.. sort out which presents are to be regifted.
Clear out a pile on the landing, be that on a table or in a cupboard
Tidy away those homeless clothes and shoes and bags
    Dust and deweb.
    Declutter a hotspot
Sort through your makeup and bin anything not used for a while.. it breeds bacteria and such nasties!

Thursday ~ Bathroom and study/pc area
    Scrub bath, loo, sinks, showers
    shine mirrors
    Empty and wash out bins
    Extras
Make room in the bathroom for your new christmas smellies! and get them installed
Get those christmas 'Thank you's' sent out!

    Friday ~ Childrens/spare rooms
Vacuum, even if it means kicking all the mess into a corner heap!
    Got an hour...

I think I will struggle to do this all over the weekend

    Questions....

Does anyone do scrapbooking here? I want to do a scrapbook for OH's mum for next Christmas with pictures of the children and stuff .. probably including the one above which is rather sweet.

I need advice on how to stick stuff on.. I was thinking spray adhesive for bigger items and pva for small decorative bits.. Would that work?

Where is the best place for bits? decorative bits and pieces.. I have lots of stars and glitter and pretty ribbons and fabrics I can utilise. what more do I need??

Hugs and I hope it's soon sorted and you're apologised to. Properly.

And, in other news I had to walk past my car (with Reception) this afternoon and noticed a puddle...decided to phone RAC -well got my friend and colleague (in the office with access to a phone to call them) they were here within the hour and I have a failed water pump.

So we limped to a garage in a nearby town (ie not where I live/work) which they recommend. The garage can look at it Tues when there will be much decluttering of £££ and more tomorrow when I go to hire a car - which will cost me a bit more than I would have laid out in taxis just to get to/from work. Plus I'm supposed to be decluttering DS to Uni.

    *sigh*
