    Morning all

Feel a bit like I'm firefighting at the moment. Pilates first thing this morning and I have to go very close to Mr L and Mr M so will visit those on the way home then more paperwork, flying and sorting.

Jo hugs for what sounds like a very upsetting situation.

Have a good day everybody and don't neglect your me time.

    Morning all

    Early-ish start today :) Here's my list:

    - WM is already on, new bedding twirling
    - Vacuuming downstairs - DH :A has offered, offer will be accepted
    - Binbag dance with packaging - to be done after I've done the final check of the new duvet set when we fold it
    - Check diary with DH for dates February onwards, especially re German visitors and holidays
    - Buy voucher from @m@z0n daily deals for child's magazine subscription: National Geographic Kids, 6 months only £9 :money: and voucher valid until beginning of July, so brilliant for my DGS1's birthday in June
    - Research cost of stoles
    - 6 emails: friend P; DD re DGS2's birthday (oops! - good thing I just checked the date! ); ExH; minibus; hall bookings; DS2; resource box loan
    - 2 phonecalls: speaker; optician
    - Final print of Old Wives' programme for the term
    - Deliver programmes this weekend (DH might help)
    - Sew sail (it's all pinned up and will only take a few minutes) and finish with wire stiffeners, thereby finishing another resources box
    - Send DH :A out to get A3 photocopies and a pork pie
    - Use photocopies to finish display boards
    - Put the display board boxes away in the new, accessible home that I've just found for them (no longer in the under-eaves loft void where they are blocking access to everything else); they've been cluttering up the study/bedroom since October, and I need to have this room tidy by next Friday in order to put up the cot for DGS3 to come and stay for the weekend :j
    - If time, do more work on updating website with new logo
    - Hospital visit this afternoon
    - Make soup for tea (DH can prep :A) and plate up buffet items for this evening
    - Friend due late afternoon to stay for the weekend :)
    - Barn dance this evening; take buffet plates

I have decided to write a Toots list for January (you might recognise some items as not done from the main list this week and last :o but I think they are important so will carry over :p ). I will aim to tackle one thing a day, though some may take longer:

    - Use my spare diary for all renewal dates and other reminders, and keep it next to my computer rather than leaving it in the middle of the kitchen table
    - List renewal dates insurance/phone contracts/subscriptions
    - List regular appointments due (as per today's list)
    - Deliver items to friend for her charity shop (she wants them on Monday morning)
    - Gift Aid claim
    - Passwords update
    - Download Christmas photos
    - Print New Year letter with Christmas photos and send to a dozen or so friends and family with handwritten personal notes added
    - Finish updating website
    - Sort birthday gifts for DGS3 and DDiL2 (February)
    - Update DH's family tree from info in Christmas letters received, shredding letters as I finish with them
    - Aim to finish 2 more (identical) resource boxes by the end of the month

Writing out that long list and prioritising the items has sorted my brain out :T

Hope everyone has a productive day and some good news in it.
(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed x

  • Perfect day to tackle the boys' bedroom as one at school and one at nursery, I usually work Fridays but have a days holiday. It was blitzed fairly recently so shouldn't be too bad but will help not having small people insisting that that random piece of plastic is very important.

I have a christening cake to finish which is being collected tomorrow morning but first of all a long shower in my clean, shiny, clutter free bathroom (thanks to yesterdays list!) without small people banging on the door.

    Early-ish start today :) Here's my list:

Golly I'm exhausted just reading your list!

Seen 1 student, my 12 noon appt is currently waiting for the AA as her car won't start. In the meantime I've decluttered hundreds of old messages from my phone. That must count as about a month's worth of 'throw away 1 item each day'. Starting on old emails in Google next.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
