Strictly speaking, my grown up offspring do their own rooms. However, DS1 is visiting Edinburgh with his girlfriend, so I have done the bed linen - in washing right now.
His reorganisation of the livingroom computer desk included moving his desktop (huge thing he built himself!) out of his room, freeing up quite a lot of space upstairs. His room now looks so much better. I'll run the vacuum around upstairs later.
Lazy morning as feeling very tired. Just had coffee, and want to get together some bits for Oxfam, then I'm going into town to combine my daily walk with some shopping. I want to get some pillow protectors for DS1's room - how exciting! I also need a new thermos for work. When I found it in the cupboard to clean, it was so disgusting I threw it out. I am amazed I haven't poisoned myself. It has been washed after every use, so not entirely sure how it got so revolting. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
back from Ts with £10 worth of free pizzas:j birthday cards for bro and DD2s partners youngest, a lovely pair of trainers and a craft kit for his birthday, a comic for DS2, some RTC vegan bars and chocs for DD2, and some baby bits off the sale rail. with vouchers i spent £30 but got a £4 voucher for next time as it would have been cheaper elsewhere;)
just been on phone to DD2 for a natter, got reply text off friend (ive volunteered to help her with something next week) shopping is put away and managed to get some free cinema tics for sunday morning so that can be a late birthday treat for DH
binmen have been while i was out so front is now clear of all the recycling and rubbish DH put out first thing -it was so windy i thought it would end up all over the park.SPC~12 ot 124

Sorry Ladies, im still skimming... but thanks for the support... Hugs and spoons right back atcha all xx
I planned to catch up with paperwork today and start shredding... But by some bizarre twist of fate, I received a tax calculation today for 2012-2013 telling me I have underpaid £800 tax because I claimed jobseekers allowance in 2012
Well, I have a letter proving I did not. I claimed when my work hours were decreased from 16 to 7 hrs a week and they cut my Tax credits... but they wrote back telling me I hadn't paid enough NI so wasn't eligible.
Times like this make me glad I am a hoarder... but being an organised flylady in the past, meant all the letters were in the same file and easy to find
So I salute you all once again flyfolk :j

Sorry I have been MIA the last few days and have barely manage dailies, due to work, school, kids and general exhaustion. I haven't caught up with the thread otherwise that would be all my time for flying gone! I expect I'll catch up later when I'm putting dd2 to bed
Waiting for the double glazing man to come and measure the door for s cat flap. Then off to school and football practice. Teaching tomorrow am so I need to sort out some resources. This morning the chap is supposed to be back to fix the boiler so the terriers are at doggy day care and I am sat here alone but unable to start doing anything until he has been
Hope he's arrived by now. That's a long time to be washing in cold water.Narc0lepsy wrote: »Golly I'm exhausted just reading your list!
Actually, I feel less tired for having got it all down on paper instead of having to carry it in my head, and I really enjoy crossing off each item as I do it. Sad?!?!? I'm probably way off the Myers-Briggs scale for organisation! (like my DS2)
I do agree that reading other people's lists exhausts me: I just tend to read the highlighted comments they've made!
Update on my achievements - these things have been done
- WM x2
- TD x1
- Fold x1
- Binbag dance collecting packaging
- Bought voucher from @m@z0n daily deals for child's magazine subscription:
- 6 emails so far but at least 3 more in the queue (how do they spawn so quickly?)
- 4 phonecalls (not 2, as above)
- Final print of Old Wives' programme for the term - first coloured page done, 2 more to do on the other b/w laser printer :money:
- Sewed sail thereby finishing another resources box which I have closed and put away on the shelf: cane toad swallowed whole
- Send DH out to get A3 photocopies and a pork pie He got the photocopies and some other things I asked for from @!d1, but forgot the pork pie. I can get it later when I go out to the hospital.
Other items not on original list which I've also done
- Put small gammon joint in SC for lunch
- Checked guest bedroom, S&S'd ensuite
- Replaced hook on LR curtain
- Turned over sofa cushions to the nicer side; tidied away sewing things
- Found storage boxes for DH
Mrs-mp, my "me" time was having peace and quiet for an hour while DH was out so that I could concentrate properly, and I shall relax at the barn dance this evening
Will go and sort diaries with DH over a :coffee:, then it will be nearly time for lunch.0 -
Quick Sydon dance around the top and middle layers, kitchen floor swept, front steps scrubbed. I'm now working my way through the last half inch of my In Tray, which has all the scraps of paper cleared out of various places like my bag, the kitchen counter etc.
Another CS run completed this morning, and something fun decluttered from there via here to go to the chalet. I've been eyeing it/them up for weeks.
Someone gave us a box of ferrero rocket chox so they've been decluttered to the CS as well for the people who volunteer and work there, they do such a great job.
Huge (((hugs))) for everyone who's having a difficult time, particularly Mumto5 and Jo.Better is good enough.0 -
Luck is not on my side today.
First I received my cake stuff delivery and the £50 cake stand I had ordered for a wedding cake set up was smashed to bits so wasted time trying to sort that (still not resolved)
Then I get the dog blankets from the washing machine and Angus isn't impressed resulting in a tug of war but managed to get them hung out. I took out the recycling and dropped a bottle which smashed and whilst I was cleaning that up Angus managed to rip open the general waste and find himself half a loaf of mouldy bread ew! Blankets have since been ripped down from the line and dragged around the garden.
Went to attack the boys room, lifted the Dyson and the handle broke off and cut my finger.
DH thinks that I'm pregnant because I've done so much cleaning and taking part in dry January :rotfl:Overdraft: [STRIKE]£529[/STRIKE] £199 BC: [STRIKE]£697.82[/STRIKE] £1974.02 MBNA: [STRIKE]£1874[/STRIKE] £517.00 -
