I did contact the seller after the dispatch time - it was 2 working days in the listing.
I contacted them in the evening after the second working day had passed.
I could see them blowing the delivery estimate by a week at the moment, and i've had no confirmation at all of when the item is going to be dispatched.
Would you be happy with that level of service?
Well, I'd be happy to get the service I paid for, which according to your post is...Estimated delivery 5th to 7th of jan, so theres sod all i can do until after then.
..so as no delivery time is missed, then you are skating on very thin ice complaining about this..it's the only the 3rd today.
Given you are pestering the seller, and starting this thread, I think this says a lot more about you than it does the seller. A little bit of patience goes a long way. Don't phone sellers at home over a holida period, it shows a real lack of class.0 -
As per my original post if you'd read it, she is at home, i spoke to her back on wednesday.
The package hasnt been picked up so its not going to be with me before next weekend.
Not bothering posting a £200 item for an entire week is shoddy in my opinion, maybe you have different standards.
It's nothing to do with standards. I assumed you could read. Delivery estimated 5-7th means exactly that. It would have been clear BEFORE you purchased.0 -
Aye, though in the meantime i'm down £200 and dont have the item - or any indication of when i'm getting it.
Oh well. Will see what next week brings.
Your seller may not even be at home to see your messages. Did they answer the phone? They may have left your package with a friend or relative for the courier to collect if they have gone away. Of course the seller should have mentioned all this from the outset.
If you needed it straightaway, why didn't you offer to collect it yourself? You said yourself, it was a real bargain but now you appear to be hassling the seller before the estimated delivery time has passed and over the bank holiday period too. If it was me, I would consider refunding you and putting you on BBL.
And I think we all know you paid £200. You have managed to include it in just about every reply. As I said before, your money is safe. If you really wanted the item that quick, you should get out of the house to a B&M shop, hand over the money and get the item in your hand.0 -

Or bought one with an estimated delivery shorter than 5-7th January.....which is next week.....not even overdue yet. Some buyers are wilfully impatient.0 -
i once has a buyer on the old ebay feedback system leave negative feedback saying i was a scam as they never received their goods, but this was made 5 minutes after they won the bid and paid. I had ebay remove the comment and negative and they advised me to refund the buyer and block him and any claim he made they would reject. i then noticed 3 weeks later that member was 'a no longer registered member' so i suspect they did this more than once so ebay banned them0

Really, really want the item too - its about £50 underpriced - i got it on a BIN that had just been put up.
but you knew the delivery estimate when you bought it. Impatience isn't going to get you anywhere, as I hope you've now realised. If you need something urgently you're best to buy from a shop, a real one. If you buy online over the longest holiday period of the year and expect immediate delivery I think you are being unreasonable. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
While £200 is a lot for you; is it for her?
How on earth do you know whether TNT are messing her about? (If you hadn't noticed, the pre/post christmas period is rather busy parcel wise...)
You emailed and phoned on New Year's Eve? (Which is treated as a quasi-bank holiday by many?)
If you wanted it so quickly, perhaps you should have contacted the seller in advance of BIN/£50 cheaper than most to confirm when they would be able to dispatch/discuss whether you could pay more for faster delivery?0 -

Uh huh. And dispatch within two working days would have ensured delivery by the 5-7th.
Keeping your buyer of a £200 item informed would add reassurance.
Neither has happened.0 -

Goodness, you really don't get it do you?
Today is Saturday 3rd January. Your item is not due until (at the earliest) 5th January.
The delivery estimate is just that, an estimate. You are still well inside it.
No reason to get jumpy about your £200. It is well protected by eBay, who also won't let you open a case just yet, as you are too impatient.
If you needed this item now, you should have bought from another seller or elsewhere. It's quite simple.
If you don't know how eBay and delivery estimates work, there are plenty of helpful posters who will hold your hand, as clearly you aren't very experienced in buying.
Come back when it's overdue and we will talk you through that one too.0 -
