People being willfully slow at posting?

I have never sent anything by TNT as to me they are too slow.
I use UPS, they have a local drop off access point, so i drop it off personally within an hour of the payment or first thing next morning and always deliver next working day. I then always inform the buyer of the tracking number and add this to ebay0 -
So it's been barely 3 working days since you ordered and item with 2 day dispatch, and you're reacting like this? I think you're going way over the top, especially considering what time of the year it is. I'm glad you're not my customer!
Its been 7 days in total and FOUR working days so far and no sign of the item being dispatched - and a TWO working day dispatch time.
The seller has had my £200 for a week now, AND the item and no sign yet of dispatch.
Would you treat your customers like that - especially for such an expensive item?
Would you consider that acceptable?
I've dispatched ALL items i've sold this week within 1 working day. I've another 26 items finishing this sunday night and any that are paid for by midday monday will go same day.
But you think its ok for the seller not to bother posting or updating me on when they might get round to posting a £200 item and we're now into the 8th day after purchase?0 -

Yes, thats my fear now. When TNT do get round to picking it up it'll be another week, and why should the seller be concerned? They've my money already.
I wouldnt be that concerned if i was even getting a feigned interest from the seller - even just to say "TNT have confirmed pickup for definite on 6th Jan", but i'm not even getting that.0 -
bad on a seller not keeping buyers informed. I have sold goods during Christmas and first thing i do is check with courier when it can be collected and delivered and if its going to take a few days i will contacted buyer and let them know and offer them a refund if they dont want to wait, I have yet to have any buyer opt for a refund as i have kept them in the loop and never suffered any negativity.0

She is using TNT so it'll take a week to get to me, so its going to exceed the delivery date - bearing in mind it hasnt even been picked up yet.
Do you think its acceptable not to post for a full week after an item has been paid for, particularly one at £200 and when the buyer has asked for info about posting?
Personally, i post next working day, or second at latest.
Please note that the delivery date is an estimate, not a guarantee. Also note that ebay were estimating deliveries on 1st January so ebays estimates are unreliable, plus they have nothing to do with any deliveries, bar taking a cut of the cost. £2, £200, £2000. Doesn't matter. You can make a INR claim 180 days after the date you paid so your money is safe.0 -

Aye, though in the meantime i'm down £200 and dont have the item - or any indication of when i'm getting it.
Oh well. Will see what next week brings.0 -

the seller will most likely have paid TNT to pick up, so they will be annoyed at the slowness of TNT, but this does not help you.
the reason i am aware of the slowness of TNT is i use P2G when i send parcels as a courier is cheaper than RM these days. I chose TNT for an item about 3 years ago, paid and had the confirmed pick up date, this come and went. so following morning called TNT and was told driver forgot, but will pickup by 12 noon, well by 1pm nothing so called TNT, they tried to contact driver, but could not, so i called P2G, they refunded what i paid then arranged for UPS to collected and deliver at their cost, as would contact TNT to cancel the pickup, within a couple hours UPS turned up to collect and the buyer had the item the following day then 2 days later a guy from TNT turned up to collect what they should of collected 4 days earlier.0 -

Although the seller would do well to keep you informed, I wouldn't expect anything bought over christmas / new year to be dispatched until 2nd Jan at the earliest. Although I've dispatched everything I've sold the same / next working day - I don't expect the same of others - especially not at this time of year. Is it a private or business seller ? I'd be annoyed at you for pestering me so soon, and you'd be straight on my BBL list.0 -

Private seller, 100% feedback from 177 people. Terms of "fast dispatch" etc used in previous feedback.
As you've said and as i've said, keeping the buyer informed - especially on such an expensive item - would go a long way in terms of reassurance.
She wont need to put me on her BBL - i wont be buying from her again.0 -
have you asked her if the delay is her or TNT.
Once you setup a collection from a courier then you as a seller are really tied until its collected, but should keep your buyers informed of any delays0
