So you can give the OP 'helpful' advice?
Don't see how mocking the OP at every single opportunity is helpful.
Maybe the package can be classed as 'dispatched' when it actually leaves the sellers house.....Always open a case if your unhappy with a transaction :money:0 -

Did you read the thread?
The package STILL isn't overdue.
The buyer has now advised he isn't even classed as 'onshore', so the estimate is loose at best....expiring (if you take it as truth) on Thursday, hence my return on Friday when it's overdue, at best......
You mock, if you wish, but perhaps read the thread first, you might understand it then.0 -

I did indeed read the thread, and it has some pretty disgusting comments on here. I understand that very well.
The seller has pretty much ignored the OP, the package they have bought is STILL sitting in the sellers house for well over a week.......
The OP has only said the package might not get there before the estimate, which is fair comment? As the package is STILL sitting in the sellers house.
Pretty simple I think. The OP has every right to be miffed.Always open a case if your unhappy with a transaction :money:0 -

Disgusting comments?
But the parcel due date still hasn't been reached, we are agreed on that.

Just checked the listing - they've said 2 working days.
I was happy enough with the original proposed time, but i reckon TNT will take 5 working days to get it to me, so i'm looking at next friday earliest or even into the following week.
Not much i can do but frustrating.Trust me on this - it CANT get here by the wednesday. TNT will not be that quick. As has been said i'm probably looking at a week, after dispatch.
And again, the seller hasnt even updated me as to when it will be dispatched.
Yup, and then they'll contact the seller, and then there'll be some sort of waiting period, and then i'll get my money back. Probably 3 weeks after i paid for the item, and then i've to go and rebuy it, and wait another week. So thats 4 weeks.
Uh huh. And as i said, the original timeframe was fine. And TBH even a revised timeframe would be fine its the lack of any sense of urgency - or contact - by the seller that i find frustrating.
I just want the item dispatched. Its been a week. I'm not being told even WHEN its going to be dispatched.
I've been on ebay 10 years, have 870+ positive 100% feedback and have bought or sold maybe 1500 items in that time.
Thanks - i look forward to your empathy then too. :rolleyes:theonlywayisup wrote: »Disgusting comments?

Yes, the constant mocking of the OP.
The OP issue is about dispatch. Not the due date?Always open a case if your unhappy with a transaction :money:0 -

I refer you to post 87, in which I pointed out that 'The item has been despatched, as indicated by the issue of a tracking number.'
The seller has done all that he needs to do and all that he is able to do to despatch the item. He has booked it with a carrier who have in turn issued a tracking number. Neither buyer nor seller can force the carrier to collect it sooner than they are able to. If they never collect it then the buyer can file an INR case, but not before the delivery time in the listing is exceeded. Which it hasn't.The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -

The seller has booked a collection. But, they haven't updated the buyer, or by the looks it, made much effort to chase the carrier. Which is pretty poor service by both the carrier and the seller.
Surely to dispatch a item it has to be 'sent'
The carrier has not picked up the package, so it hasn't been sent yet. It's just sitting in the sellers house (from what the OP has told us so far).
I can see why the OP is not pleased.Always open a case if your unhappy with a transaction :money:0 -
Op, whilst I completely understand why you're annoyed that there has been a lack of communication, I do think you have jumped the gun a little bit. As many people have pointed out, the estimated delivery date is exactly that - an estimate. What's more, there's a chance that the seller decides to upgrade your delivery for free seeing as there has been a delay (which is, as far as I can tell, not really her fault) so it could get delivered on time.
I would be a bit miffed that I've not been updated on whether it's with the courier yet or not, but I think it was a bit unfair of you to ring her etc over the holidays seeing as she's a private seller. You didn't give her much time to reply to your messages either.
I think there's been fault on both sides and honestly all this bickering is unnecessary.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0 -

It matters not what his gripe. The item isn't overdue. How do you know the buyer hasn't made much effort to chase the carrier?
The fact is, the carrier was booked. If it failed, there's not much can be done between Christmas and NY.
I've no doubt it will be overdue. But that is a bridge to be crossed when it happens, not days before.0
