  • Good news I have found the little door. Bad news I can't unscrew the knob.

  • OK, at least you`ve found it...is there a neighbour with stronger hand? Just to loosen it to start you off?

We don't talk to the neighbours.... I will try again. I will not be beaten by a small knob :rotfl:.

  • Gave the bathroom a quick spruce, cleaned round the taps, the sink, the toilet pipe etc. I had a bit of flat cola left over so I have just thrown that down the toilet.

    Morning.

Didn't do much over the weekend so I'm having a bit of a catch up this morning. Washing up done, surfaces wiped, bathroom done, beds made, load of laundry washed and hung, dry laundry put away, general stuff tidying done. That's about it.

    Have a good day.

Behind that little door and the knob is the filter for the washing machine. I would suspect this is blocked. If you clean it out, putting a baking tray or something on the floor to catch the water, your machine will likely run as new. :)
PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
Now to start saving...it's a whole new world!!

I will have to get Dd's dad to sort it. Or at least undo the knob :rotfl: .

  • Hi Messies!

MissFlirt I hope your washer got sorted. Mine seems to be working fine now - but I couldn`t put anything shallow enough under the dribble, OH`s old vests had to do.

I`ve not done much here, except sorting out bottom cupboard of dresser in LR, found some little ramekins I`d bought a little while back in CS, and decided to have a go at making souffles!
The souffles were very nice, but I did make a bit of a mess so had to untrash kitchen again.
I`ve also had to de-clutter computer, it was running slow and got DS to `clear history`, lost a few settings so still playing catch-up now!
Hope everyones having a productive day. x
  • Hi Messies!

Keggsy & MrsM, I hope all`s well with you as I`ve lost track but thinking our `nesting` Messies must be close to hatching by now! Do let us know.

I heard a bit of radio 4 in the car yesterday, comedian Alun Cochrane on a tour of his house. He said the living room is like the belly-button of the house, where stuff collects. Hmm, I can identify with that!

Today I dragged 2 large shopping bags out from under the bed, and found they were full of forgotten undies. Determined to sort them out, I ended up with -
1 carrier bag of unworn bras (should`ve taken them back as either didn`t fit or weren`t quite right, but never bothered.)
These have now gone in Sally Army clothes bank.
1 carrier bag of stuff that will be used as cleaning rags, then chucked out.
1 carrier bag of stuff with truly dead elastic etc, binned as not suitable for rags.
1 carrier bag of good but forgotten stuff, now in WM for a freshen up then I`ll have to put them away - again.

I also have 2 large empty shopping bags and they are in the boot of the car folded nicely. And a space under the bed which is just waiting to attract some other gubbins to fill it up!

I'm feeling back to normal now so I've been able to make some headway with the house. DH commented on how nice everywhere looked yesterday too. We've had no snow and this week has been so sunny I've been able to hang washing outside for the first time in ages.

    Have a good weekend everyone.
