Eeep, thanks LisaJane! The opk I did yesterday afternoon seemed to be lighter than the one from Thursday evening. So I think maybe I missed the surge. We didn't BD on Thursday because I thought it was negative and was on an off day of SMEP. BD'd last night though and will again today & tomorrow. I think I may have got the big Ov temp rise this morning (a bit unsure if the first decimal place was a 7 or 1 because it was dark and I was half asleep).

Lottie & Think -sorry AF has arrived/is arriving. Onwards & upwards to next cycle

    Hi all

Sorry to have been mia for a while, I did write a long post last weekend catching up with everyone, then lost it  then the phone rang and I never got back to the computer.

So, congrats to the bfps, and great news pink shoes if you're still around, sorry for anyone with AF or bfns, glad your cycle this time was sorter ThinkPink hope it stays that way. Good work lulu92 ;)

Re the changes coming off pill, I definitely have greasier hair since, I try not to wash it every day, buut really feel like I should some days, as someone else said dry shampoo, or talc, is a godsend!

Also for Apple users the SMEP book is also available as a free ibook. I've read it too, but not followed the plan yet. Partly because I'm not using opk's. If I change my mind about those maybe I'll start it.

Can I be updated to 5dpo please. I think I might be slightly more than this based on how I felt and (sorry TMI) CM, ovia gives me a different date to that and FF gives me the 5dpo date, so I'm going with the latest one just in case to avoid poas too early.

I've been temping this month but my chart is not consistent I think because I keep waking up at different times (before my alarm goes off usually so not even with the good side of a lie in). Anyone whether taking it as soon as you wake or at the same time is more important?

Have a dilemma about drinking this week, got a couple of events that will involve alcohol, I normally try not to drink in the TWW but not sure I'll be ale to avoid it without it being really obvious.

    Hi all

BFN today and AF due tomorrow so I am pretty sure it hasn't worked this month :(

We have been using ClearBlue OPKs but too expensive to keep on using them - noticed a few ppl saying they used cheap ones - any recommendations? And are they easy enough to read the difference between high and peak fertility?

Thanks in advance - it is lovely to be able to ask these questions. NO one in the real world to ask (my friends dropped pregnant at the drop of a hat!).

    Thanks

I used IC opks, then bought 1 pack of CB digital opks which I used to confirm the IC, so only used 1 pack over 5 months. CB digitals weren't necessary really as the ICs were always accurate. I used these ICs:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001G7P62S?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00

Also bought the CB digitals from Amazon as they are much cheaper on there. Bit gutted as had just bought a new batch of each plus some agnus castus and all unused, but I guess I can use them for baby no. 2 :rotfl:

Got the Dr on Monday to confirm the pregnancy and arrange my booking in appt with the midwife, eeek!!

Hi everyone, can I be added please?

I usually post in another part of the forum but have started a new account for a bit of privacy. We haven't told anyone that we are ttc!

So, I'm 29 and OH is 32 and we are ttc baby #1. We have been trying since 4.3.15 and I think I am on CD20 so guess I'm in the tww? Life is a bit busy at the moment so we just plan on trying to BD every 2-3 days and see if we get lucky!

Complicating factors - I have endometriosis, can get very stressed about work and we are getting married in a couple of months!

I have learned a lot just from reading this thread and look forward to getting to know you all a bit

I'm now on CD8 and I've had a flashy smiley on the CB OPK.

I went to the doctor on Friday to calm my nerves and she said she sees no problem with me falling pg. However, I would have to have more screening tests once pregnant because I'm over 35. Also, given my previous birth history and the fact that I tend to have big babies, I would most likely be cared for by an obstetrician and probably be offered an elective caeserean. That's actually a relief because it's something that has worried both DH and I.

The doctor's last words to me were, "I'll see you in a month's time to be booked in with the midwife." :j:j

So I'm going to follow the SMEP this month but the over 40s version. I may not be 40 yet but I really want this baby sooner rather than later so I'm not taking any chances!

Thanks Lulu for the book recommendation. :T

The curse of the Fertility Monitor continues.

Woke up at 5am, and aware of the need to use FMU, tried to go back to sleep rather than get up and POAS. Failed miserably and decided to give up and POAS at 5:30am, in the darkness so as not to wake up OH.

Tripped over dog, who was sleeping beside the bed. Stumbled, and in an attempt to stabilise myself, reached out for the Ikea wardrobe we have beside the door. Except in my semi-awake state, I forgot that OH had dismantled it yesterday for the removal men. Fell head-first into the door frame and staggered to the bathroom with a sore head.

Shut the bathroom door and tried to unwrap a stick from its foil packet. The next time NASA send a rocket in to space, they should consult with Clearblue. The packaging for those sticks is impenetrable and would surely withstand the searing heat of the sun and passing meteorites.

I shalln't describe how difficult it is to POAS in the darkness, but I can assure anyone who hasn't tried it that after 4 years of university education and 15 years of educating children in some of the toughest schools in the UK, nothing comes close in terms of the skills required. Finally managed it and resisted the urge to wake OH up for a well-deserved round of applause.

Turned on the Fertility Monitor and immediately the little display pinged up "CD9". No, I'm CD10. Put stick in machine, in the hope it would click forward. It didn't. Took stick out. Put it back in. Monitor still insists I'm CD9. Then I remembered. The instructions say you have a three hour test window. I bet 5am is too early for it to click forward onto CD10. I've wasted a stick. I've wasted a potential lie in. I've got a bump on my head with the most ridiculous accompanying story. However, I think the fertility monitor is correct about one thing. 5am is way too early to be starting the day
