Haha luckily it was cold outside and I could blame it on the walk to the pub from home!

If you search SMEP on amazon it comes up as the first entry.

For those of you feeling too lazy ;) :

You don't need to own an actual Kindle to read it, you can read it online on the Kindle Reader, or on your phone if you can download the Kindle app.

Thanks for the explanations, ladies. I suspected as much, but since I wasn't expecting to have to test so early in the cycle, I clearly did not have my OPK head on.

ThePug, I'm a woman obsessed - I have many internet cheapies. I've got three brands on the go at the moment, because I don't trust my body. I think I missed ovulation last month, and will not let it fool me again.

Lulu, did you turn up with the "I've done BD" grin on your face? ;)

Haha I really did, but I passed it off as the "ooh wine!" grin

    Hi all :)
Hope everyone's got some nice plans for the weekend? I'm off to a spa day tomorrow :j

Still in the 2ww here, planning to test Tuesday (12dpo) as I've got the dentist in the morning (root canal part 2 :o) and am either working at home or taking the afternoon as sick given how grotty I felt after the first bit! If I do get a BFP I need to be referred to an endocrinologist quickly to have my thryoid condition monitored, so would be handy to be able to get to the GP on Tuesday afternoon

Hi ladies, commiserations and congratulations as appropriate.

I've sort of given up for the moment. I thought AF had come but in fact it only lasted a few hours and then disappeared again, and it wasn't even a flow per se, so right now I think I'm CD41. Was pretty foolish on my part thinking that even with my first period after the depo I'd be back to normal.

I'm having incredibly sore boobs in the morning now, tends to go dim down (or my brain ignores it) by about an hour after waking up. I'm certainly not pg, so I hope it's a good sign my AF is revving up.

Going to put it on the back burner for now and see what happens in the next few months with my AF. I used to be able to time it to the minute (always 1 o'clock in the morning on the 12th day of the month) but chemicals have obviously done a lot more damage than I thought.

Hi Aileth, i just saw this post and wanted to offer a little support. firstly big hugs. when I came off the pill i had exactly the same and turns out the tiny tiny AF which never really arrived and disappeared turned out to be ovulation. so perhaps now time the LP phase from this time and see if AF arrives approx 2 weeks after what you thought was AF? This happened for 2 cycles for me and was an excellent indication of ovulation. it was more spotting than AF but I was sure it was AF at the time. hope this helps x

I must admit I always lie on my back for half an hour with my legs bent after BD!
I think there might be something in this SMEP lark - I wasn't following it but I got a a postive IC opk on the Friday but negative on CB digital OPK - BD'd that night.
Saturday I got positive on both and did BD but OH didn't, ahem, climax.
Then BD'd again on the Sunday and got my BFP 2 weeks later :T

Haha I even read the myth buster about not needing to lie down after BDing - and I still do it... just trying every trick in the book! Hehe!X

Cuilean I don't know much about the CBFMs but I think I've read somewhere before that it needs to work out what is a normal baseline LH for you (some people always have some background levels in their system) before it can then say what the peak is. So that's probably why it wants you to test this early.

I totally agree with not wanting to waste money on POAS - and I'm only using ICs that are about 17p each! Following SMEP this month which said to start doing opks on CD10 - I knew this wouldn't show anything so I started on 12. Here's a pic from CD12 & CD13 (yesterday). Hoping I will get a positive today so the SMEP DTD 3 days in a row will happily fall Fri-Sun!

could I be updated to cd 1 please.

That means my last cycle was 42 days which is a huge improvement for previous cycle lengths. Trying not to get my hopes up though that this could mean my cycles are starting to get slightly better!!

Hope everyone is well. Congratulations to those with a bfp and hugs to.those.who need one
