    Me. Again.

And it would seem that despite 6 days of heavy bleeding, my BFP still stands!! The scan today showed a heart beat, although oddly it was only measuring 5+3, so two weeks less that I thought. Not sure HOW it can be that far behind, unless i ovulate VERY late.

Doctor was happy that it is viable though, although her English wasn't good enough to explain the above. I am sure she was trying to imply that i must have conceived at a different time or somethin odd.

    Yay.

WOW pinkshoes!! One day when your baby is old enough to understand, you can tell them all about being your wee strange miracle <3

Cuilean your post made me lol so much! Hope your phone lines is working tomorrow!

For the ladies with PCOS - there's been some research which shows d-chiro-inositol is very helpful in improving fertility in women with PCOS. Its difficult to source in the UK and is ridiculously expensive, but you can get inositol easily and some of the long termers had success with it a couple of years back.

    Some links
    http://www.lef.org/Protocols/Female-Reproductive/Polycystic-Ovary-Syndrome/Page-02

    http://www.pcosnutrition.com/links/blogs/a-combination-of-myo-inositol-and-d-chiro-inositol-.html

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22774396

Thanks for this codemonkey. I've done some digging and read the available studies. The ones on d-chiro-inositol are inconclusive, but seem to indicate that d-chiro-inositol on its own may not do much, for ovulation or insulin regulation. Myo-inositol, however, has shown positive results, increasing both ovulation frequency and clinical pregnancy rates (although miscarriage rates remain the same) when taken at a dose of 4g a day. So am going to give that a go and see if it helps.

Pinkshoes, I've been waiting for your update! I'm so happy to hear the embryo's hung on in there, I hope everything goes well for you over the next few months xx

  • Hello ladies, I haven't been on since the first page, I had a period in December and then was waiting for my January period that never came, it co insided with my arguing with my dad over our wedding this year, so we assumed it was stress, I stopped posting on here because I did a few tests on the day my period was due and a couple after, all negative.

So today is 98 days since the last day of my period and I have a cold and a sticky throat, I've been dry heaving but put that down to illness. However tonight I thought why not and stuck a test in my wee and two cheapies later and a digital!! And I'm apparently preggers!! :) just wanted to share my news because I saw myself on the list and wanted to update.
Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!
  • Hello ladies,
Can I join this thread? I was on once before, a few years back, but me and OH stopped TTC due to university stress, etc...
Anyway, we are now back on our TTC journey for baby number 1! We started NTNP (is that the right acronym, can't remember!?!) in November. I'm currently CD2.

    Ladies, help! (waves to newcomers)

I'm working from home which means I like POAS (both pregnancy and ovulation) Never expect anything from either; I've never had a positive OPK. Well I've just done an IC OPK and got a really strong positive - now I know that you're meant to do them in the afternoon rather than morning although this wasn't first morning wee, more wee #3/4/5 (been up since 5am)

    Is this really a positive?!
