    Hi all,
    CONGRATULATIONS AMY!
Congratulations Cuilean on your house! I agree with others that you just need to go for it in every room ;)
Lulu sorry to hear you are feeling down :(

AFM, I had blood tests as have never had any indicators that am ovulating. Due to other potential complications, they were happy to get us checked out sooner rather than later and... I ovulated last month yayyyy!
However, I am having an ultrasound (on my birthday would you believe it) to check me out for polycystic ovaries).
We were determined to go for it this month but last week I was ill all week - and this week it's hubby's turn :( gutted. Quite frankly we have been too tired and grumpy to even think about dtd. so next month... we are REALLY going to go for it!

    Hugs to all xxx

Lulu, your husband sounds laid back to the point of horizontal, which is exactly how you need him to be, just in the bed. Get him some Red Bull or Pro Plus (Spike his dinner if need be ;) ) and tell him he'll have us lot to answer to. I did huff at my husband when he used the "I'm tired" excuse, and told him that I only really needed his input for one part of the pregnancy process, so he'd better step up to the plate and be grateful he's not got the rest of the pregnancy to deal with in the same way a woman has. Can you imagine how hopeless the world would be if men had to carry the babies?

Michbright, you sound like a woman who knows how to get what she wants from her husband. I need your skills! Could you write me a step by step guide please? ;)

Excuse the TMI, but has anyone who's come off the pill noticed changes about their bodies? My hair has suddenly become a disgusting greasy pit, and coming off the pill is the only thing I've changed. If I don't wash my hair every day now, I look like I've dunked it in lard. It's also a complete PITA financially, because I have psoriasis, and have to use a prescription shampoo at £8+ a bottle. I used to get a couple of months from a bottle, but I'm now almost through one in a fortnight. Anyone got any tips on keeping hair cleaner for longer?

Cuilean, I think I'm just lucky to have a husband who wants to make me happy. I have subtely hinted at having baby number 4 since DD1 was born in 2003, and really stepped things up in the last year or so until we eventually sat down and had a long chat about it in September and he finally understood how desperate I am to have one last baby. I think at first he was resigned to it and hoped I would change my mind as we have waited to start TTC. However, as time has gone on, he's clearly come round to the idea and is now fully on board. Not sure what I've done, but I think I was just rational about it all and his main worry is my health as I had a difficult delivery with DD3 and had a PPH. I've reassured him I'll ask for a c-section this time, which seems to have calmed him down.

Not sure on the body changes after coming off the pill as I've not been on it for years - don't like synthetic hormones in my body. However, I will say that for greasy hair, I've always been told it's worse to wash it every day.

Husband, I wish! But yeah he is laid back, but he's also stubborn. He insists that DTD more than once in a month is unecessary but then doesn't even attempt to find out when the best time to do it is! (I still believe he thinks you have the same chance all month). I know it's something he wants, and I know it's a difficult subject for him but if he wants it he has to fight for it! Ugh, I'm in a terrible mood still, I would start a thread to rant but I'd probably get ripped to shreds :rotfl:

I noticed changes. I got more spots around AF (big ones, too!) but I actually found I could wash my hair even less than I did before! Dry shampoo is a godsend, or baby powder to be MSE.

Cuilean, I started to get darker body hair esp on my top lip as soon as I came off.

Day 64 off pill with no AF - going to have blood tests this week. Have started to get cramps, and I'm a raging angry crying hormonal beast so hoping this might be AF on her way...

I'm getting so sad, like I feel I can't even start ttc and that I'm not properly functioning. Blaaaaargh.

JoBatch - hope you have some relaxing time out.

    Krispy Kremes to all.

Lulu, what did your OH learn in school if he thinks once a month will do the trick?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll get some dry shampoo. I can't keep washing my hair every day, it's frizzy and uncontrollable at the best of times.

Hbex, good luck with your blood tests. Hopefully AF is just waiting to spring an almighty surprise on you, at the most inconvenient time ;)

Here are some stories of stupidity I've encountered today whilst on the phone, trying to finalise things for moving. Hope it gives you a chuckle.

    Story 1: The Estate Agent
    Him: So, you've exchanged. Congratulations.
Me: Yes, thanks, we're finally there.
Him: I was just wondering if we could put a "sold" board up?
Me: We told you "no boards" at the start of this. It's a communal garden and we're not allowed to put things up.
    Him: Just one board.
Me: No, we don't want to upset the neighbours.
Him: Are you sure? Just one board. We'd bring it round and put it up ourselves.
Me: No board. Not allowed. We've finished the sale process, haven't we?
Him: It would only be up for a short time.
    Me: No. No board.
Him: I'm sure your neighbours wouldn't mind.
Me: They would. Even if they didn't, I do. There will be no board. I'll see you on completion day to hand over the keys. I think we're done.
    Story 2: BT
Me: I'd like to cancel my phone line because I'm moving house at the end of the month.
BT: Would you like to take your number with you?
Me: No, I'm moving 50 miles away. It'd be a different exchange.
BT: You know you won't get this number back if you cancel?
Me: Yes, because I'm moving to a different part of the country.
BT: You could keep the number and I could offer you a discount?
Me: I'm not keeping the number though, because I'm moving.
BT: Oh yes. So I'll put a stop on the line today?
Me: No, at the end of the month when I move.
BT: Are you having BT at your new house?
Me: No, there's cable TV and phone line at the new house.
BT: So you want me to cancel the phone line and the broadband?
Me: Cancel the lot, at the end of the month.
BT: I'll put a stop on everything for tomorrow.
Me: No, at the end of the month, like I said.
BT: Are you sure you don't want to stay with BT?
Me: I've never been more sure of anything.
Why do I have the strangest feeling I'm going to wake up tomorrow to find my phone line has been disconnected?

Oh I know, I guess he wasn't paying attention. We'll see what happens today. He came home last night after a work meal and decided to wake me up at 1am after I'd been up since 6:30am (he starts work at midday btw) so I wasn't best pleased.

hbex 64 days? wow I hope she turns up soon, although I imagine it would be quite a horrible AF.

I hate ringing people to cancel stuff. Virgin were the worst. We had student broadband which I cancelled when I moved back in with my mum and they were trying to get me, an 18 year old girl to change my mum's sky package to virgin!

    Me. Again.

And it would seem that despite 6 days of heavy bleeding, my BFP still stands!! The scan today showed a heart beat, although oddly it was only measuring 5+3, so two weeks less that I thought. Not sure HOW it can be that far behind, unless i ovulate VERY late.

Doctor was happy that it is viable though, although her English wasn't good enough to explain the above. I am sure she was trying to imply that i must have conceived at a different time or somethin odd.

    Yay.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
