Great news Pinkshoes, I'm so pleased for you! :j:j
I suppose I should graduate to the next thread really but it seems a bit slow so I've stayed here for now!
OH and I really don't believe it still - despite 2 BFPs on Saturday, 2 BFPs on Sunday (inc a CB digital).....then we decided to do another one this morning so did an IC and another CB and both BFPs. Every day I wake up and think I've dreamed it and have to go and look at my stash of BFPs to remind myself it's true :rotfl:
The BFP is just the start though, I'm really happy but now I'm worried about every little twinge, cramp etc. I'm so glad my sis-in-law is a midwife and I can ring her every 5 minutes for reassurance!0 -

Amy think I'd be like you! Poas until I had a scan or some sort of 'official medical' confirmation! So exciting for you. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy0 -
Ladies, help! (waves to newcomers)
I'm working from home which means I like POAS (both pregnancy and ovulation) Never expect anything from either; I've never had a positive OPK. Well I've just done an IC OPK and got a really strong positive - now I know that you're meant to do them in the afternoon rather than morning although this wasn't first morning wee, more wee #3/4/5 (been up since 5am)
Is this really a positive?!
Did you do a pg test at the same time? You can get a positive on an OPK if you're pregnant as the LH and HCG hormones have similar structures. If not, get BDing later just in case :rotfl:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Yeah did both (not very MSE I know!) pg test was negative so will grab the DH later! :T0 -
Hi ladies, commiserations and congratulations as appropriate.
I've sort of given up for the moment. I thought AF had come but in fact it only lasted a few hours and then disappeared again, and it wasn't even a flow per se, so right now I think I'm CD41. Was pretty foolish on my part thinking that even with my first period after the depo I'd be back to normal.
I'm having incredibly sore boobs in the morning now, tends to go dim down (or my brain ignores it) by about an hour after waking up. I'm certainly not pg, so I hope it's a good sign my AF is revving up.
Going to put it on the back burner for now and see what happens in the next few months with my AF. I used to be able to time it to the minute (always 1 o'clock in the morning on the 12th day of the month) but chemicals have obviously done a lot more damage than I thought.0 -
Wow MrsH congratulations!
Aileth I'm so sorry to hear that AF is being weird. Was it the Pill you were on? How long were you on it for?
Welcome to ScienceGrrl, I hope your stay here is short
AFM, ended up being all stressed and weepy yesterday. OH said exactly what I thought he would about being too tired for BD. He's not offered me a solution, except "stop stressing about it" - He doesn't understand why that can't happen. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I was on the Depo for six years, so it's an awful lot of chemicals. I need to just chill out really, but as all of us ladies know it's not easy when you're desperate to get pg!0 -
Sorry to hear you AF is being rubbish Aileth! I'm lucky in that I came off the pill 2 years before TTC for unrelated reasons - I couldn't take Microgynon any more as I have high blood pressure so they tried me on 2 mini pills, Cerezette and another one I can't remember. I hated them & felt !!!!!! so I just came off the pill and we used condoms or on occasion just the withdrawal method.
My best friend didn't come off the pill until the month she got married - they started trying straight away but it took her over a year to conceive, I guess because of getting the pill out of her system as her and her husband were tested for fertility issues and were both found to be fighting fit.0 -
The more I research, the more difficult it seems to be to actually get pregnant! The timing of DTD is bad enough, but then the actual implantation process seems even more complicated and unlikely?
And because everyone is so different, comparing yourself to others becomes mind-bending.
We have 3 couple-friends, who all made the decision to stop using the contraceptive pill to let it "get out of their systems" so they could start TTC in 6-12 months. They were all pregnant within 2 months. They all looked thrilled but a little bit dazed when announcing their news!
I'm trying to be positive, but realistic this month. I've seen no signs of ovulation this month (and not sure I did last month) so I'm going to have to use OPKs. My apps suggest it should happen this weekend, so I'm just hoping we can get lots of BDing in this week!
Hello to newbies and congrats MrsH. Aileth, I'm sorry you're feeling down, I'd feel the same in your situation x0
