Hope someone can help... I'm really confused!
Started my AF on Tuesday (first one since coming off mirena coil!) I bled for 4 days. So by Friday night totally clear. Now I'm confused about my ' fertile window'... Now I know that everyone is different depending on cycle length...and as I've only had that one AF I'm not sure my cycle length... But say I was ' average' how many days after AF started would my fertile window be? I used a period tracker app it's saying its now...? Already? Reason I ask is my partner and I are not DTD every day... Probably only twice a week. But I don't want to ' miss the boat'...?
Any advice would be great
If you had a 28 day cycle. Then I would say your 'safety net' fertile window would be CD8 - CD16. In theory OV would be between CD12 & CD14.
But could be earlier or later. If in doubt keep trying every 2-3 days and then every other day if you start having fertile CM (the clear stretchy kind, like egg white)
Might take several cycles to settle into a pattern.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

off to docs tomorrow morning, hopefully she will be able to shed some light on what is happening to my body
Rachy - I went on BC for the same reasonshopefully it will be a nice quick AF
Jonesy and Apple - I've also head reports more is not always best. The doc told me as long as you have regular sex at least twice a week you have a good chance of conceiving. For us we don't want to make sex a chore so we're having sex when we're in the mood and making it funRead my diaryHere0 -
Thanks to those who have replied. So I just out of curiosity did an ovulation test and there is a line!? It is lighter than the control line but defo a clear line. Does this mean I'm due to ovulate? Only on CD6? I've read that these test aren't very accurate?

I believe a paler line is still a negative but it'll probably become darker in the next few daysBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

A pale line is definitely still a negative Apple - I get a faint line almost every day when I test, but you need to wait for the line to be as dark or darker than control.
It's not like a pregnancy test where even a faint line is a +ve.
And just to re-iterate Freddie, fertile window is c. Cd8-cd16 on a "normal" 28 day cycle. The main point though is that it's around 14 days before your period - that's the bit that doesn't change much, so if your cycle is 42 days (like me) it's around CD28, if it's 30 days it's around CD16, if it's 22 days it's around CD8 etc etc.
Unfortunately you sort of have to wait for your first "real" cycle to be sure.Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Good morning everyone! Hope the weekend was good for you all.
Apple, I won't try to give input about the OV tests as I have only used the Clear Blue (because even I can understand a smiley face or a not smiley face at 6 in the morning)
My "exciting" news over the weekend was that I actually hit a peak on the CB OPK yesterday morning! It's the first time I've made it from high to peak (using it over 3 cycles) so was weirdly reassuring. I know that doesn't mean anything will automatically happen but I did feel quite pleased to see that. Although I have kept it in mind what some of you have said about feeling a bit low after "doing everything right", so I'm trying to remind myself this is just another helpful tool, not a definite that things will happen this month!
Anyway, here's to starting the TWW again

Freddie, huge congrats to you both, I am so delighted to hear your news, sending you lots of love and luck for the stickiest bean. Just the loveliest news!
Sending lots of good vibes to everyone else - I am CD10 and BDing is well underway - last time we conceived we BD'd 10 times in 12 days!! Not sure I can manage that anymore..!
I had acupuncture for the first time last week, it was very interesting and relaxing. She recommended some supplements to help me get my body back in balance, nothing expensive or too out there, just omega 3, vitamin D, some probiotics and baby aspirin - not sure if they will make a difference but thought its worth a go. I need to feel like I am doing something! She also recommended maybe taking a break from the obsessive testing and tracking, so I've agreed to only do CB digi ov tests Days 10-20 (I am normally around CD14-16 for ov) and to not do use the CBFM or do any other temping, cm checking or pg tests in the 2ww - just to give my mind a rest if nothing else. I am only still ov testing as I need the piece of mind that I am actually oving again after the mmc.
Hugs to those who need them, I might not be on here as much lately (for my own sanity really) but I think about the lovely people on here all the time XxMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0 -

Can I join please? I've been lurking for a month or so but never got round to joining in so thought it's about time I do!
I'm 27, DH is 28, we've been TTC for 4 cycles, starting cycle 5 now. In this time we've had 2 chemical pregnancies. On CD2 at the moment and just feeling a bit deflated with it all, we're doing everything right it just seems to be taking longer than i imagined. So thought it might help to join in here.
How long has everyone been trying?
Oh, also just wanted to say congrats to Freddie!TTC since September 20150
