Yeyyyy!! So glad for some good news!! Congrats Freddie :-)
AFM I'm calling this CD1. A lot of spotting yesterday but not enough for anything more than a liner so this is day 1 of "full flow" as it were...
That means cycle was 42 days with 12 day LP which I think I'm ok with. Interestingly temp hasn't fully dropped to pre ov levels so I'm wondering if thyroid meds are kicking in.
Feeling much better than a couple of days ago and we've booked a holiday for our next ov time so lots of look forward to :-)Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Freddie - congratulations! I am so very happy to hear your news. Wishing you and your OH a very healthy 9 months. What an amazing start to the weekend for you both, you can start to take it in over the next few days!
Hello to all the newbies and, of course, hello to the "oldies" tooI decided to take a little time away from posting, but I've been keeping a good check on this thread. I tried to take a bit of a break over Christmas from doing the OPK etc and just to "relax" about it all. That kind of worked in that I wasn't so obsessive about it all, but still no BPF.
I've been to see my GP now, who was really good and has sent me for all sorts of blood tests and referred me to the infertility clinic (or whatever it's called!), so I'm off for the 21 day bloods next Saturday. Back on the CB OPK this cycle and same as when I was doing it last year - plenty of "high" days but no "peak". Trying not to presume this means I'm not ovulating ... but at least I should know for sure by next cycle as I should have the results from the blood test by then.
I'm currently CD12 and been getting the "high" OV reading since Monday !!
Cats - how did you get on with the acupuncture? I may give that a go next cycle if the blood tests come back "normal".
MancMama - hope you're doing okay - glad to see you're "back on the horse" again
Hugs to all

Hey keekee welcome back! I find the acupuncture helps me in sanity terms as much as anything as it makes me feel like I'm doing something. Hard to know whether it has helped my cycles though! BUt I'm going to stick at it for now.
Do you temp? I found temping is what has really helped me regarding ov - admittedly I did get a peak on CB OPK last month but I also got +ve on cheapies so given the cost of CB I'm going back to them now and using temping as my main guide. I couldn't believe how accurate it is!
Acupuncturist and doctor both asked me to temp too, so bizarrely I am now more relaxed from feeling more in control.Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Cats - ah, I knew I could recognise a fellow control freak :rotfl:
I think that one of the hardest things for me is not being able to control this so I too appreciate things that make me feel like I'm in control. Temping for next cycle!!
Good to know about the acupuncture too; I will def look into that (I'm only dubious about finding the "right" acupuncturist to do it - research needed...

Congratulations Freddie!! So happy for you both
wishing you a happy and healthy nine months
CD67 over here!! No sign of AF and cramps have stopped so think my body was just messing around with meI have got a cold on the way too, have got a sore throat and a slight cough so really feeling down in the dumps today
doc appointment on Monday - hopefully will get some answers!!
Cats and KeeKee - I agree with the whole feeling in control thing, I might start temping again and using the Ovia app again I deleted it because I thought I was getting myself too stressed. I started to feel mellow and relaxed and then I had this cycle!! I have some OPK's left too, would it be worth doing them or just waiting until AF finally shows?Read my diaryHere0 -

Two of them, did another to check. But both appeared really quickly! A couple seconds after dipping. Hormone levels must be really high so OV must have been early.
Delurking to say a massive congratulations! It's lovely to hear some good news!0 -
So I will say the downside is that by feeling so much more in control I did feel more gutted when it didn't work. But at least I had a full picture of everything and that is definitely better for me.
As for OPK's, the acupuncturist thought I must have eventually ov'd in order to have AF at day 73 but personally my AF was so light and "old" that I'm not convinced. So i think it's up to you - if you're using cheapies you could just do it in case, but you may also just have to accept you didn't ov this cycle and it's a waiting game. Really hope you do't have to wait much longer!Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Yeah I know what you meanI think it would make me feel a bit better temping and doing OPK's to give me peace of mind that I can OV.
I think you're right though I think it had been too long and I haven't OV'edmight give one or two a go and if nothing then just wait for AF
