The pink ones... so I may have been giving up too soon some months... depends how quickly after the test I ov'd I guess!

I will definitely watch that video for comedy value if nothing else haha, cheers Cuilean x

Are you using the new purple or old style pink OPKs? Before I went over to the Fertility Monitor, I used the purple ones. On those ones, when the static smiley face comes up, it just means it's picked up the hormone surge which indicates ovulation is going to happen at some point in the next 24-36 hours. Essentially, you and your man have a day and a half to catch that egg ;)

If you want to know more, have a look at the video on the Clearblue page, even if only to hear the unbelievably smug voiceover, and equally smug actress who is definitely not a woman who is struggling to TTC. She wanders casually around her house with just a towel on, and neither she nor her man are seen indulging in unromantic, sweaty scheduled sex that we all know to be the reality of TTC!

If you bd on the smiley face day then you'd be fine anyway as sperm generally live up to three days and you'd likely o on the next day so not mistimed.

I'm pretty sure I saw spotting earlier on, so I think I'm out this month. Not proper AF, so I'm not giving up until the full force of AF lands, which should be tomorrow or Saturday, depending on which app I believe. On to month 9 then.

I went to hospital for a my annual dermatology appointment the other day (I have a long term skin condition), and when the consultant asked if I'd be interested in taking a stronger type of medication, I said we were TTC, and I'd rather not. He asked how long for, and I said we'd been trying for eight months. At this point he chuckled and said "8 months? Oh, that's not much time at all". Not much?? If there hadn't been a nurse in there to witness it, I'd have leaned over and throttled him. 8 months may not seem like a long time to him, but eight months of BFNs seems like ages to me!

Some peoples comments are so uncalled for.

I'm under a derm for psoriasis cuilean and am on some pretty strong meds, was advised to come off them when TTC but have decided to wait until I see a hpt as it could be months (it already has been!).

Yep, that's what I have. I've resisted things like methotrexate and stuck with UVB so far, but it's becoming less and less effective, so the consultant was pushing me really hard until I told him about TTC! Nice to meet someone else who understands :)

Morning all, been lurking for a bit but just checking in. CD21 here - trying to work out whether I've ov'd yet. Don't temp, but have been doing cheapy OPKs and saw a strong-ish one on Monday but i don't think strong enough to be a +ve. All -ve otherwise. CM not giving much away either!! Sorry for TMI...but does anyone else just not get a lot full stop...?

FF predicted ov on CD19 as first few cycles were 32/33 days but last cycle was 36 days though so would be about on for that - maybe they're staying long.

Either way, we've managed to BD on a variety of dates - CD 10, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19 so far. Exhausting! But trying to allow for anything.

    Baby dust to all x

That's good as you weren't sure what was going on, being overdue.

OH is on CD5 now. We're both relieved as we'd read about problems after termination such as AF just not happening for months. Or not having a 'proper' one. Started very light but normal now and happened at almost the exact time that we'd expected (hoped) it would, so hopefully that's good news that all is working as it should.

We can start trying again this month then, hopefully within next few days :j
Good luck to all trying and hoping this month!

im sure everyone's different, OH gets tons of the stuff (TMI) so was always easy to tell what stage we were at.
