ThinkPink - you're stronger than me to hold your tongue!
Although saying that we're increasingly facing those "innocent" comments. We recently moved into a bigger family house with 3 bedrooms. I was giving one of my oldest friends a tour and in the bedrooms she was all like "so when is this going to be a nursery?" etc etc. I laughed it off but it did hurt.
But then twenty mins later, we were chatting and I asked if she had anyone special in her life/on the horizon - she had a go at me for creating pressure on her to get a boyfriend. I actually laughed out loud at the irony and told her she'd done the exact same thing to me earlier. We both got over it and laughed about how we just seem to swap 1 lot of pressures/expectations for another.:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

Hi all,

Toots: you're in love with Andy Murray?! I guess it's nice for him to have two people that are totally in love with him
Yeah! :rotfl: he's perfection. We are from the same sorta area in Scotland and I just totally get his humour and demeaner. I think it's definitely a Scottish thing!
Can I be update to CD1 please AF arrived this morning with some horrible cramps so DH has bought me lots of chocolate :T0 -
***self-pity alert***
After perfectly timed BD this month I have started spotting quite heavily this morning. As we managed to BD on cd13, 14 and 15, with ov detected on day 15 I couldn't help but get my hopes up. I have also had a couple of sleepless nights stressing and worrying about it this week too.
AF isn't due until Tuesday or Wednesday so I'm really not sure what's going on. If she starts tomorrow I'll only have a luteal phase of 11 days which I don't think is great? Only 10 days if this is the start today
I don't know if it's worth making a Drs appointment at only 6 months but I feel with my endometriosis and previous surgery it's all a bit hopeless.
Told you I was in a miserable mood!
I'm a few pages behind so I'm off for a catch-up,

CD9 here. SMEP started yesterday. I have a question- so we BD every other night then 3 nights in a row when I get a positive OPK - does this mean if we get a positive opk on CD15 after BDing on CD14 then we need to do it on CD15 & 16 or 15, 16 & 17? That would then be 4 nights in a row?
I have a good feeling about this month. And even if we fail, it will mean we can go on holiday to LA with the rest of my family in April.Happiness can be found in even the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light - Albus Dumbledore

Hugs for those who have AF. I'm CD22 and not stressing too much as I don't think we stand a chance. At least I can apply for a job in the new structure without feeling guilty that I'd be heading off on maternity leave. ( we're all at risk of redundancy)0

Do you guys try to time BD for when you expect to be OV?
I've been reading some past posts. See when I was researching it online all the advice seemed to be suggesting that it's best to try every few days. When we were last trying we did every 2-3 days, she took note of her discharge and when it started being more egg whitey we made sure it was every other day. But we never tried daily.
That was based on the info I found that leaving too long can lead to sperm losing their motility, too often and the numbers don't get chance to fully recover.
Since they can survive for up to 4 days with a good chance of being able to fertilise the egg, possibly even as long as a week. Then every 2-3 days should be better than trying to blitz it.
Obviously that could be different depending on the individuals, but that was my general understanding.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,0000 -

I've had this conversation with OH because we were only DTD 3 times or so a month and I'd be lucky if he wanted it during my fertile week! So I told him this month it needs changing, so we've DTD on CD6 and CD8, with the intention this week of doing it on CD10, CD11, CD13, CD14 and CD16, which I think should be enough.
This is possibly a TMI question but does anybody know if the female orgasm has anything to do with conceiving? Glow keeps asking me!Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Ive read that orgasm causes a 'cervical dip' and it sort of 'sucks up'. So in theory helping to increase number of sperm getting through. But it seems debated how much of an impact that actually has.
I think what you've decided with your partner sounds sensible Lulu.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Glow contradicts itself! If I tick yes when it asks if I did, it says something like "Congratulations, the female orgasm can help sperm move along the cervix". If I tick no, it says "Studies show it makes no difference". Make your mind up! :rotfl:
Robert Winston, the bespectacled fertility guru who appears on TV said the following, although it was to the Daily Mail, so is probably to be taken with a pinch of saltOne theory is that the muscles of the vagina and the womb contract, sometimes quite vigorously, during orgasm and that way more sperm enters the uterus.
Then, after a period of relaxation, the sperm are retained. We do know that, during orgasm, a hormone is released - oxytocin, which, among other things, is associated with extreme pleasure. This hormone is also important in producing contractions of the womb.
He did conclude by saying that his research was not conclusive enough for him to brave submitting it as proof, though. That's probably confused you even more - sorry!© Cuilean 2005. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.0
