Lulu I'm another waiting for a proposal but I'm not sure he'll ever give me the romance I would like, still, I am sure he will ask one day! People ask all the time when we are going to get married and why we aren't already, and I do hate not really having an answer!

Manc mama, so sorry to hear your struggling, take some time to look after yourself.

Hugs for all who need it too

So, as for me, I've been a bit awol as visiting friends, and have had a tlp this morning on a test. Not too excited yet as I'm only about 11dpo, so very aware that it may not make it the next few days, still, whatever - hoping I can share some luck with the rest of you!
  • Oh JellyBox, exciting! Keeping everything crossed and looking forward to the bfp shortly :D

MancMama, I feel you, today's been a real downer for me too. This journey is really sh***y, I'm sorry. Hugs and hopes that we all get to the destination we're looking for x

Looking for a bit of experience if possible please, had a hospital appointment today and I am being referred for a laparoscopy to investing some pains I have been having as an ultrasound didnt pick anything up. I am quite anxious (suffer from anxiety anyway) about it but trying to view it positively as they are going to be taking a good look at my ovaries, tubes etc so will know how its looking in there! Whats it like? Painful?? I am such a wimp lol

Hi ncsmummy, I have had a laparoscopy for endometriosis and it really wasn't that bad. Having said that, I am a complete wimp and also suffer with anxiety which made it more traumatic than it actually was, if that makes any sense? Anyway, as I'm likely to need another one in the future, my cousin who is a nurse told me to talk to the consultant/nurse beforehand as they can give you meds to help with the anxiety while you're waiting.

If you're anything like me, you are going to worry whatever anyone tells you. You just have to know that it will be worth it, either to let you know the cause of the pain or to find out nothing is wrong.

If you have any other questions or worries you can pm me :)

    Morning everyone

CD14 today. I'm still tracking my temp for the first time but no sign of ov yet. FF and glow are both a bit vague after last months weird 25 day cycle but both say I should ov either yesterday, today or tomorrow. We shall see!

Not sure if there is much point this month as we are struggling to BD. We tried twice but as I'm still cross with him it didn't really work out. We did manage yesterday though so maybe we've turned a corner.

Lulu I know exactly how you are feeling. I have been with DH for 12 years, we met when I was 17 and I could have been happily married by the age of 24. Now I'm 29 and it only just happened because OH wanted children and I said only if we're married. I didn't get a romantic proposal either as I had to tell him to hurry up and then planned it myself!

All those years I felt like there was something wrong with our relationship because everyone else was getting married. Everyone used to ask me and it used to drive me mad. Now I know my brother's girlfriend is feeling the same. Some men just need to take their time, as frustrating as it is, and as usual they have no idea of the emotional impact of their (lack of) actions.

Try to hang in there and try not to make an issue of it as you don't want to put him off the idea altogether!

Bought a CB digi, and now I've seen it written down that I'm pregnant, I guess I should be off to the other thread. Sorry for being one of those people who pops in, tries for a month and !!!!!!s off again, I lurked here for a long time in the past and know just how upsetting that can be. Hope to see you all in the next thread! Good luck all!

    Hi Lulu,

I know I shouldn't be on here, but I've been lurking and reading your posts. As others have said, you are still young and you have time on your side.

When I was younger, I was like you. I met my ex when I was 16, we started seeing each other properly when I was 17, we got engaged when I was 21 and almost married when I was 22. For various reasons I don't want to get into on a public forum, we split up a week after I turned 23, after having been together for almost 6 years.

I moved to the UK later that year, one year later I met my husband and six months later we were married (I was 25) and I had my first child at 26, when DH was 33. And here I am at the ripe old age of 38, getting ready to embark on the baby adventure all over again!

It's wonderful when it does happen, but also remember to appreciate what you have right now. I try not to live with regrets. My dad died when he was just 44, so I embrace life with all its ups and downs. If it's meant to be, it will be :)

Life is about the journey, not just the destination.

Thanks Chickpea - I am currently being treated for an acute anxiety disorder anyway so as I can tell you will understand, it has sent me anxiety into overdrive. Even waiting for the appointment is making me anxious!! I am trying to find the positives, that we will possibly find the cause of the pain and they re going to havea good look at everything so we will also hopefully see if its all healthy in there but its hard!! I will be sure to ask if I think of some specific qs - thanks again!!

Congrats Jellyox - hope you have a healthy and happy 9 months.

AFM - cd 28 - waiting for af to arrive, was a 35 day cycle last month so goodness knows when it'll appear.

Hope everyone else is ok, hugs for afs etc
