CD60 for me
FF is all over the place, green and pink squares scattered all over the calendar like a dropped pack of Smarties. I've got to assume I've skipped a period (happened before, but not since I went on the Pill, so I can't remember details), which on my usual cycle length means I'm probably in for another week or two of nothing before the blood starts to flow. Ho hum.
In the last two days I've had 2 pregnant friends looking for sympathy - one because she couldn't use ibuprofen for a headache, the other because she's struggling to find shoes to fit her swollen feet. Both valid complaints, no doubt, but both know I'm struggling to get pregnant - so seriously? I'm sorry, I'll be happy for you, coo over scan photos, help think about birth plans and join in baby showers, but don't ask me to feel sorry for your pregnancy woes. My generosity of spirit only goes so far!0 -
Morning, ladies. It's going to be a scorcher today, so make sure the only precautions you're taking today are those against sunburn
Let's start with some comedy relief which only those of us TTC will chuckle at. I woke up with an eczema rash on one boob, and decided to hunt down the hydrocortisone cream. Certain that DH had some in his bedside table from when he had dermatitis, I dived in there while half-watching the news and grabbed a tube. It wasn't until I squished some out of the tube, I realised that I'd just idly lubed my boob with Conceive Plus, and the tube of hydrocortisone was still at the back of the drawer :rotfl:
BR, sorry about your cycle being all over the place. It must be so frustrating to not know what's going to show up the next day, even with tools like FF. I can't imagine that your friends' innocent comments did much to help, either. One of the few friends I've told about TTC is heavily pregnant, and has clearly forgotten I'm struggling to TTC. Either that, or her attempts to cut down on comments which (unintentionally) sting me are really not working well.
Chickp, I relate to every word you said. "Never mind" is my husband's stock response, and he doesn't get how I have to cope with the disappointment of another month of empty womb syndrome. I think it'll be the same if we do get BFP though - he'll swan off to work and leave me coping with morning sickness, sore back and the other bits. Out of sight, out of mind and all that. This is why I'm glad to have you ladies to sob to© Cuilean 2005. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.0 -
Black Ribboner - I know exactly what you mean!! OH said to me the other day that a friend of his is struggling as she has a new baby and not getting any sleep, I pretty much snapped at him "do you expect me to feel sorry for her? I would happily trade sleep for finally having a baby!! Me thinks so long hasnt had a pleasant effect on me!!!!
Still awaiting AF - CD 29 (I think, losing track!!) Advantage of barely managing to bd last month is no urge to poas!! lol but still frustrating none the less!!!0 -
Hey ladies,
I was supposed to be in Tunisia on sunday..obviously it was cancelled and struggled to find anywhere else as availability ran out pretty quick.. So have a few days down in newquay. Anyway just popped on to say I'll sort julys lists and predictions etc when I get back. I can't do it from my phone XXX0 -
That's rubbish about your holiday kellykins, especially if you've been looking forward to it for a while.
I'll guess 3 BFPs for July, in the hope there are more and that I will be one of them!
I'm on CD30 and no sign of AF, tested this morning but it was a BFN. Feeling really disappointed but I know we'd have been extremely lucky to have caught in our first month.Happiness can be found in even the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light - Albus Dumbledore

Sorry to hear about your holiday, Kelly. At least the weather in England is nice this week! (although where I am atm it's cloudy af!)
Added you to the list ThinkPink x
AFM - If we count the first day of my mc as CD1 I'm on CD33 with no real sign of AF. Did a test yesterday which was negative, so at least I know all of the hormones have gone. I'm not really thinking about if I've caught this month, I'm more wishing AF would hurry up as I know she will be painful and I want here out of my system before the 16th! Cd13 here, still awaiting ovulation. Really hating this heat as its making it even unlikelier that hubby can perform. I was put at risk of redundancy last week with the official announcement being Monday just gone. We're still going to keep TTC with the hope I keep a job, but if not then we'll have to stop and at our ages I'm not sure we'd start again
if I did miraculously get pregnant this month, I'm going to have to keep it quiet till I see if I've got a job, because my manager and potential new manager have said I'm not allowed to 'get knocked up again'. They only took it with grace last year as I got the major part of my workload done before I collapsed in a heap of exhaustion and was signed off sick. I know they can't discriminate against me on those grounds but it's hard to prove.0 -
Morning ladies
have read back briefly, hugs to those having a hard time.
Chickp, in our first month of ttc for our daughter, Dh and I both had stinking colds with hacking coughs and had the most unsexy sex ever trying not to cough or sneeze on each other and stopping to blow noses constantly. It was grim!
We're still away on holiday, but I tested this morning and got 1-2 weeks on a digi :j really chuffed, especially after the mc.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
