I'm so glad I didn't see that episode Cuilean! I'm thinking of submitting a Buzzfeed article entitled "what not to say to people trying for a baby" as well as "what not to say to those who have miscarried"
Someone beat you to it, Lulu!
http://www.buzzfeed.com/whatjanedid/the-11-worst-things-you-can-say-to-someone-struggl-15zo9#.kjDnpaXMNK
Except they only listed 11. I'm pretty sure we could all come up with at least triple that.
Good luck with talking to your dad. Hopefully he's one of the supportive dads, unlike mine who just thinks everything should be joked about. We haven't told him we're TTC!
As for Jezza and the other naïve members of the "just relax" club, I found this:© Cuilean 2005. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.0 -
MancMama, on the alcohol thing, I've read up and drinking during the two cannot harm any baby that may form, however there is evidence to suggest it may prevent the egg from implanting in the first place. There is, however, also evidence to suggest that a drink may actually aid implantation, so I guess it's a case of all things in moderation. For more information on the opposing arguments Google "drink til it's pink" and "sober til it's over".
I did all this because I am intending to drink a far bit next week, ok with the fact it may prevent implantation, so long as I can't harm any future child. Future months I will cut the booze though, it's just that this time there are events where my drinking is organised into it!0 -
Thank you for that JB, that's really interesting, I think I will keep it very moderate and only have 1 or 2, that way I should avoid any questions and also not get in the way of possible implantation?! Guess I will find out soon enough!
Lulu wishing you luck and love for the chat with your Dad and sending lots of positive vibesMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0 -

Af finally arrived, after.feeling like she was going to arrive for about the last three weeks!! Think we may try.a little bit more now it's been six months since the mmc, I feel more ready now.
Hugs lulu, I have to admit I am a believer in things happening for a reason and that's.what helped keep me going after my mmc, but the other comment sounds.a bit.unthoughtful.0 -
Lulu, impressed that you're using wine to calm down after that, I'm afraid I might have had to use some rather interesting language and a strop to calm me down after a comment like that.
I am symptom spotting something chronic, trying not to notice every twinge and cramp and remember that they probably happen every month. That said, I've just googled cramping in tww, so I'm setting myself up for serious disappointment later in the month!0
