Crumbs, Lulu - he did okay with the first comment, but the second one is a proper "doh" moment! Hopefully the wine helped. If not, have another glass until it does.

Thinkpink, I'm joining you - CD1 here, as Glow and FF predicted. However, while AF arrived on schedule, for some reason the hot water didn't, so I've had a cold shower this morning. As if I don't feel manky enough with AF, now I feel manky and cold

Lulu, that sounds exactly like something my dad would say. He's king inappropriate, but I know deep down he doesn't mean it and normally says stupid things to avoid showing any sign of weakness.

Hope you're feeling better, enjoy the wine xxx

    Hugs for cd1 Cuilean.

Just had a look back and my last cycle was 58 days, so not great, especially as my previous 2 were around 40 days and I had been hoping the mmc had sorted them out a bit, but then again actually, 58 days is relatively short in comparison to some of my cycles since the journey of ttc began!!

Not looking forward to the next week, Im usually terrible with remembering dates unless they fall on or near occasions, but Wednesday (my birthday) will be 6 months since we had the sad news at my 13 week scan which was on Christmas eve- hence why I remember the date, plus next Sunday would have been my original edd (which I remember as its the day after my nieces birthday.) At least af has finally arrived so I can celebrate my birthday with a few drinks!!

Aw Lulu, thats very similar to what my Dad said after my m/c, I found it pretty inappropriate but its just his way really.

Cuilean, sorry to hear about af, damn that hot water too - last thing you want!!!

Jellybox - I used to be the queen of ss!! lol I have calmed down now tho apart from last month when my body decided to give e lots of pg symptoms for no reason!!

Thinkpink - ((hugs)) anniversarys are hard and I found my original edd difficult. Enjoy your bday drinks - you deserve them!

Finally got a positive opk today, we did bd yesterday so will be repeating for the next few days, using the preseed too just to see if it helps!!!

I understand what my dad meant, his cousin has spina bifida and is currently in hospital with kidney failure and the dialysis isn't working so I think this might be it. He is in his forties and has lived way longer than was expected and he's battled cancer as well. So I do get the last comment. I actually hate people saying that things happen for a reason, because how do people know?

OH and I have fell out big time so tried to cheer myself up by going wedding dress shopping for my sister, but that just reminded me that I'm childless, unmarried and not even engaged. Good job I have wine left (as well as a massive bottle of archers)

I know what you mean about the 'things happen for a reason' comment. Of course there's a reason for everything, but I'm not religious so as far as I'm concerned the reason is science not fate, luck or karma!!!

I started temping yesterday so will see how that goes. Feeling pretty low today, not really sure why. I've had no motivation to do the boring chores on my list so I've wasted the day. I also weighed myself this morning and I'm heavier than I've been in the last 8 years :( I'm definitely comfort eating at the moment so need to do something about it.
  • Hi Everyone,

Wondered if I could join?..... I have been reading for a while!

I have set-up a new account asmy family members know me on here and want to keep it quiet!

I am CD2 today, finished my last packet of pill tablets on Friday so this is the first month of TTC , I have been on them forabout 3 years. The plan is to let thingstake their course for the first month and then try temperature charting and OPK when mycycle settles down.

I am 27 and been married for a year now and first attempt!

Has anyone using Conceive plus or similar products any advice?

    Thanks for reading J

    Morning ladies,
I had the most positive OPK I've ever seen last night :j the test line was darker than the control line, no squinting at it and holding in different lights etc ;) So glad it's finally happened, feel like we can start to move on from the miscarriage. Felt a bit in limbo before.

Can I be updated on the list to CN27, 0dpo?, thanks

Hugs Lulu, I've had some similarly insensitive comments from people, I think they just don't know what to say x

    Hi ladies

Please can I join in? I've read this entire thread and it has consumed my life this weekend!

    I'm Milliebob (26) CD21 TTC since 05/15

We already have a beautiful almost three year old son, who was conceived by happy accident so I've not done this before!

I stopped taking the pill at the beginning of May, didn't do much trying in May because of our wedding and honeymoon. Now this month I've become a woman obsessed! Currently in the TWW, we DTD on CD12, 14 & 16. Ovia says AF is due on the 30th. I'm an impatient idiot and took a test yesterday which OF COURSE was BFN.

One question I have is, how do you know which day is your ovulation day? How would I know how many DPO I am? Ovia says my fertile days were 14-19th June.

    Hi Milliebob,
Nice to see you :) there are lots of ways to spot ovulation. For a women with a textboook 28 day cycle, ovulation is typically 10-14 days before your period. You might notice different cervical mucus (cm) in the run up to ovulation, it goes very stretchy/slippery and clear, which is called egg white cm, on you most fertile days. You can buy tests to detect the hormone which triggers ovulation, like these, or use a thermometer to take your temperature first thing every morning, as your basal temperature shifts upwards after ovulation.
Lots more info available online, eg http://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Ovulation.html
