Ugh I'm having a very unusual month in that AF has come today on CD25. Shouldn't be here until Wednesday. Very unusual. I bought a CBFM off eBay last week so can use that this month because I hate interpreting cheapy OPKs :rotfl:

Can I be updated to CD1 please.

Bummer, Ellesbelles and Toots - have all the wine and chocolate you need. Then pass me the leftovers

My box of Clearblue stuff came this morning. Huge box! Contains:
    * 1 pack 20 POAS OP tests
    * 3 pregnancy tests - alas, not the nice digital ones
    * 3 Lock&Lock tubs with sample pots in it. DH has a similar box for his sandwiches at work, so that could be fun ;)
    * Something which looks like a toilet training seat, presumably if you want something to pee into.
    * A white envelope with forms which you only use to notify them if you get a BFP during the study
    * 3 brown envelopes with prepaid labels.
    * 1 blue folder with labels stating my client number, to stick on the sample pots
    * 3 huge (A3?) jiffy bags to post the FMU samples back in. Had sort of hoped to discretely pop them back into the post box, but there will be nothing covert about this - they have "Human Sample" written on them :rotfl:
    * 1 black biro
    * An "intercourse diary", where you record every instance of BD during your cycle. It allows up to 42 occurrences of BD. Who's doing BD 42 times a cycle? Or am I just completely out of touch? :rotfl:

Anyone else had their kit yet?

Sorry to ladies with AF - I have brie if that helps?

42 instances of BD? jeepers, that would chafe!

Absolutely Nada to report here, a light bleed randomly last week and days after days of negative opks. All points to what I hoped - that next week would be when it happens. FF currently has me down for O next Saturday.

Now just to remind the husband that my name isn't Mary and there'll be no immaculate conception :rotfl:

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

I cannot imagine squeezing in 42 lots of BD unless your cycles were over a year long, and tbh, in this house even then we would fall quite short... One of my big concerns (other than my dead certainty that there will be something wrong with me despite there big nothing to suggest this) is that we don't have the drive to BD often enough!

Nothing to report here, my little period tracker app (not upgraded to anything TTC related yet) reckons I am due to ov in a few days and my dodgy tum goes with this, so lots of fun for us this week, around horrendous shifts at work!

    Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for everything you wrote. You really helped me get things clear in my mind and even brought a tear to my eye! If our relationship wasn't in such a good place as it is at the moment, I think the fall out would have been worse. We have had tears, long discussions, shouting and yet more tears - you get the picture. Last night we ended up laughing and have had make up sex twice () since then. Shame I'm already in the tww :rotfl: I think this may be one of those things which makes us stronger in the long run but we shall see. He is not in the clear yet

Finally felt in the right 'place' to do the clear blue forms today so have just e-mailed them through. I don't like the thought of taking anything marked 'human sample' to our little local PO where they practically know my name, so I intend to get OH to do it. He is doing everything I ask at the moment :rotfl:

Cd9 here but feel this most relaxed since starting this time around. Guess I know I'm out this month so no point getting excited or anything. Hope everyone had good weekends. Glad I didn't join the trial, able to log dtd 42 times ? We're lucky to get to twice a month!

    Hi Everyone

I haven't been on this thread for ages - I kind of decided to take a step back from obsessively TTC and I am very happy to report that we got our BFP this month!

I hope that this doesn't come across as me only coming back and contributing good news, but I thought it might help to post what we did differently this month or what I noticed before my BFP. I used to love hearing that when TTC!

We had been TTC baby no. 2 for 8 months with no luck.

I realised we were probably doing the deed a bit too close to OV day, like 1/2 days before. I then read a study that said the best day was 4 days before!

I mean who knows really, but it worked for us.

This month we DTD on CD 7, 9, 11, 12 and 14 - OV day was CD 15

At 6dpo I felt very crampy, like my period was going to start. It was more over to the left though, which was the side I ovulated from.

6 dpo - DTD and it was really painful which never happens! Thats when I really started to think something was going on.

8dpo - I was cooking something and it totally turned my stomach! then had a big glob of EWCM.

9dpo - very very very faint line on a cheap test

    10dpo - confirmed with a first response :)

Hope this helps someone..Thank you for everyone's support when I was here before.

Keep believing it will happen, but I also cannot stress how much it helps to take a step back from the obsession of TTC. I know its hard though.

    xxx

JoBatch, I think it's great that you're feeling a bit better. It's also hilarious that putting pee in a fridge is helping you move on. I can just see you explaining it to others - "What helped you get on with your life after the trauma?", "Well, it was clearly the chance to put pee in a fridge"

I think only you'll know if and when the time's right to TTC. Nobody could possibly ever understand how the whole event affected you, physically and mentally. You went through so much, with no warning, and it all snowballed horrifically in a way which nobody could have predicted. You're worried with good reason.

Good luck for the house move! If nothing else, it'll take your mind off things. I spent the packing up process plotting different ways to bump off DH after it brought out his inner Sergeant Major. He went from this mild mannered, quiet accountant to ruthless dictator with a specific plan for every cardboard box :rotfl: If you can get through a house move together, I reckon you and your other half will get through anything.

Thanks! Pee is always entertaining to me, I guess that's the Navy bit of me! I have no manners, or shame, I'll be parading my pee bottles in that post office. Makes a change from eBay parcels anyway!

I'm getting very excited about the house move now as it's pretty much a month to go! OH and I went and picked and bought new sofas this weekend, and have picked a glorious superking sized bed. It may be naff to some, but it's one with a TV in it! Not a leather one as I don't like them, it's a nice fabric one. Just got to buy it, they aren't cheap but clutter does not bring me joy, and it's just too much hassle to put a TV where we would need one in the bedroom. Besides, I have a !!!!! job and deserve nice things un my house for the weekend when I'm home! Luckily, thus far husband has been great about moving, it's selling his flat that's problematic; and only because has accidentally picked the worst solicitor ive ever met, literally a stupid stupid man. He's getting a complaint when we've completed that sale and I'll slate him on every website I can.

I guess I'm still in two minds about trying again soon, if nothing else; birth month kind of matters to me as I wanted Somewhere between September to January. Ive also come to the conclusion that ive still got tonnes of stuff to do before having a baby, but I don't have time to wait as I'm 35. I'm now studying a further 3 courses. The plan is to quickly get as much stuff as I can done now as possible. Husband understands my huge reticence at the moment, and has agreed that I can still do all the things I want to do anyway; like learning to sail a yacht. Been meaning to for an age, and now all of a sudden I really want to buy a boat and be the Captain of my own mini ship. I'll just have to wait to buy one I think, it's more money than I'd need to save for maternity leave. Damn expensive children are!

It's quite possible I'm having a mid life crisis, a little early nonetheless. I can see husbands point of view, I think he knows this whole thing has rattled my cage quite a bit and now I'm making excuses because it's forced me to examine it in greater detail. And now I'm panicked because I don't have time for everything! I'll figure it out, eventually!
