I've been on a card making mission whilst the kids have been at school.

After tidying up my toppers and card kits and realising just how many I have (even after deciding to get rid of over 100 sheets!!) I decided that today was the day I was going to try and use some!!. I set myself the challenge of using only sheets which had already been started and I had to add something else to the kit (such as card, paper, sentiments, gems etc).

I have made 20 cards so far and am only half way through my kits. I'm intending to go through the other half tomorrow and fish out all of those started sheets and use them too!!!

Looking at my craft room its like an explosion has happened and you can't actually see any space created but hey - at least I'm stash busting and making something useful at the same time :)

Haven't got round to listing toppers to sell on facebook yet but I am hoping to do so later :)

    Happy stash busting everyone :)

I have completed a felt Christmas tree decoration that's been hanging about in kit form for weeks :)

Hi, great to see everyone's working at stash busting.

I went to get photos printed off my phone today for my scrapbook and there were over 800 on it! I got it down to 370... Now what is my excuse for not stash busting my scrapbook hoard going to be.

Will not be printing anymore for a while:D: or my bank manager may not be impressed.
  • Hi,

Please could I join? I tried to join last year, but with pregnancy, decorating and life, I never got to post anything!

Can I aim for just 50? I don't have my craft room back yet, and baby is due in march, so I think I need to be realistic, but I would like the kick up the backside to use some of my enormous stash!!

Plus, I got made redundant, so money is too tight for many crafting supplies.

I aim to not buy anything for my own crafting, however, as I'm planning to set up a small business, I will need to buy things for that. My aim is to use stash for mock-ups/practice runs, etc.

Cute decoration Pixie, I think I may have that kit lurking somewhere! ;)

Another make to cross off the list, I made a crochet headband using up 1 ball of wool last night. I've only just learned to crochet and I just kind of made it up as I went but pleased with the results! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

    Hello bubblepops,

Congratulations on your upcoming arrival. It's great to have you onboard.

Sorry to hear about the redundancy - my husband is still waiting to hear if he will lose his job so I know what you mean about cash for crafting supplies being tight :(

It sounds a great idea to have practise runs using your stash before you start on your own - how exciting :)

Good luck with your stash busting and I can't wait to see all your lovely makes :)

Well done you - I desperately want to see it as I love crochet :) I keep meaning to teach myself - no surprise I already have all the tools and loads of wool sitting in my stash!! but I never seem to get the time :)
