There must be an owl theme going on tonight as I have quickly made 3 decorative pegs for my craft room using up a bit of washi tape and some scrap papers for my punched and paper pieced owls (plus 3 pegs obviously)Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020

I can declare that I have completed two more wreaths, only 20 more wreaths to go. I had many of the leaves pre made so progress in the future will be much at a much slower pace and added to that I need to study for my final exams in May.
Good luck with the reorganising of your craft room, I know how difficult it can beStashbusting 2015 6/23 :j0 -
Oooh can you share photos of these wreaths future is bright?!
No more to declare so far, but I've got an order for a frame to work on tonight so hopefully I'll be able to check back in with photos and an update later. Because my frames use varying amounts of 'bits' depending on what I'm doing they won't always count as 1 item in the challenge; sometimes it'll be worth 3/4/5 etc. I will always explain my reasoning so I'm not cheating though!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
More tidying and organising for me
No actual crafting yet though
I have sorted out a few more bits to de-stash though so hopefully will list on facebook later and will sell so they can be out of the house and counted towards my totals:)
Hope you are all having a productive crafty dayMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Hi Birdie85 whenever I lose the "new user" tag I will post photos of the wreaths I have completed. No crafting for me either today, craftingmad. Tonight I will go to the local youth club that my son is involved with and teach a class of teenagers how to make a christmas tree that I seen on Pinterest using a styrofoam cone, felt, pins and sequins, should be fun. I will post photos of this simple craft in the near future, as it is very cute and simple to make.Stashbusting 2015 6/23 :j0

Sounds good FIB!
Here's tonight's make. I was asked to make a frame for a baby shower and the parents don't know if they're having a boy or girl so had to keep it neutral.I'm going to mark it as 3 items as it uses papers, toppers and scrabble tiles.

Hi enjoyed reading what everyone is making.
I am still using up scraps and made 10 cards foxes this time instead of owls.
Craftingmad I wanted to make owl pegs after reading your post!
Planning on using up remainder of 6 x6 papers as tend to use more 12x12 and scrapbook rather than make cards now but need to use up old stash.
I am trying to use each stamp set I own and then donate on those I don't love. I will keep those I chose myself and start purging the free sets from magazines.
Wish me luck....I have been watching loads of videos on craft room organisation and storage. Wow the Americans have Huge amounts. It actually made me realise that I only want to keep my absolute favourites rather than store all this stuff and spend ages searching through it all for my favourites.0 -

Congratulations on your upcoming arrival. It's great to have you onboard.
Sorry to hear about the redundancy - my husband is still waiting to hear if he will lose his job so I know what you mean about cash for crafting supplies being tight
It sounds a great idea to have practise runs using your stash before you start on your own - how exciting
Good luck with your stash busting and I can't wait to see all your lovely makes
Thank you!! Little limited, as I can't get to my stuff, so am working on a giant x-stitch cushion I got for Xmas. Buuuut... If I hadn't done it, it would have added to my stash, so I'll count it when I've finished it! :rotfl:
Sorry to hear about your hubby, it's rubbish isn't it? Everything else I can cope with, but no new crafting supplies? xx'By all means let's be open minded, but not so open minded that our brains drop out.'0 -
Well yesterday I got the news I have been dreading. My husbands job looks almost definite to come to an end. This means that we now have the difficult decision to make as to whether we move to Scotland and have to uproot the kids (the eldest of which has just settled into high school and now loves it - after a few teething problems) or my hubby works away and only comes back when he is off shift (which will mean him being away from the kids for at least half the year).
Whatever decision we come too it will definitely affect my crafting life - if we move we will only be able to afford a much smaller house and therefore I will have hardly any room for crafting supplies or if we stay and he works away money will be a lot tighter as we will have to pay his accommodation and travel costs as well as our mortgage here so not much stash buying for me
On the plus side these thoughts are helping my de-stashing as while I'm organising I am only keeping things that I really love and know I could use
I'm hoping to finish my craft room organisation today so hopefully may be able to get a few bits made in the next couple of days
