Hi stash busters
It's quiet on this thread this weekend - are you all beavering away and crafting
I can add a further 15 items to my total. Today I have made:-
12x die cut handbag sweet holders (I've had these die cuts in my stash for ages and have been saving them for a special occasion but have decided to fish them out and try and use them for either my craft stall or my son's mother's day fair) As they were already die cut from pretty coloured card I decorated them really simply with a couple of die cut flowers I also bought years ago from LakelandI have to say that for stash which is getting on a bit they look pretty good
4 x Button Rings - I love buttons and on my recent craft room organisation I realised just how much! I have 11 jars of various sizes full of them and a couple more big bags sitting in my over door hanger on my craft room door. I also have lots of adjustable ring blanks which I ordered ages ago and so I decided to get my hot glue out and make a few up. Again for such old stash they look pretty good and I think they will be ideal for my son's school mother's day fair
1x Pom Pom Creature - Inspired by a pinterest pin I made another little creature today from some lilac wool in my stash. I am hoping that the school may buy some to sell on at the fair

Oh well done CraftingMad! :T
I spent the weekend embroidering a free gift from MollieMakes, a bear holding a basket of flowers....my friend adored it and wanted me to make it. And today I tried and failed to make some fleece gloves, and successfully made a large needlecase for my friend who does quilting and her needle case is ancient0 -
Hi, busy crafters. Another 8 scrapbook pages for me.
One more postbound album to use up so need another 20 page layouts and then I think I will change to project life type pages.
However, I do not intend to do every day just the usual.
Has anyone tried project life?0 -
I do project life craftyc and love it. I only started last year but it was great to look through the album at the end of the year and remember our lives. I photograph both the ordinary and the special things that happen week by week and also include journelling for each week and any memrobelia. I also get the kids involved by getting them to write about their dreams and resolutions for the year and also drawing pictures on the cards for the pockets. I find I hardly ever get time to complete full 12 x 12 pages but by doing project life I actually get to document a full year without feeling too behind. I do still do 12 x 12 pages for photos that I particularly love or need more journelling but just not as many as I know they are already included in project life.Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020

I can add 3 more things to my total as managed to get a bit of crafting done today.
I have made two butterfly lipbalms and a pom pom sheep for my sons mothers day fair. I got both ideas from pinterest and I have to say they look pretty cute
Intending to make a few more of each to sell on my stall too and as I had so much fun making both of them am hoping the school want lots more of each too
So stash used today includes some wool, felt, googly eyes and cardstock. In the words of that large supermarket - every little helps

Thank you craftingmad. I think this will be the way forward as 12 x 12 layouts can still go in the binders if required.
I am pulling apart some albums that don't have page protectors in them as I don't like just putting directly onto album pages. Will use the paper for some project or other.
I thought my dd would love the idea of project life but I tried to describe it to her and she would prefer the old way, so I may just keep my last postbound album for her.... Then I can get started into the new system right away.
My only doubt was the increased size of the albums... Apparently they are much bigger. Was tempted by 8x6 but then the 12 x12 layouts won't fit. Decisions decisions....0 -
Oh dear, I shouldn't have looked at Project Life; it looks like my cup of tea, which means I'll get obsessed and buy loads more stuff even though I'm not supposed to be buying anything!
I haven't done anything for about a week but have to make 2 cards at least tonight so will be using up some of my stash.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Hi Birdie85 I intend to cut out and decorate my own journaling cards and use my acid free scrapbook stash to do this.
I think if the cards were cut to sizes required in lots of different colours I could grab them and decorate up for a layout when required.
I intend to use stamp sets etc. as if it does not stamp properly only a scrap of paper is wasted rather than a full 12 x 12.
I will get a few ready made cards for when time is short, but feel that the smaller chunks will not be so overwhelming.
Also sometimes my 12 x 12 pages feel a bit samey and I feel put off by the effort of doing something different.
For starting out if you have no supplies I think that project life would be much cheaper than traditional scrapbooking.0 -
Hi all,
Quick post from me as I have my parents staying at the momentand am also full of cold
I have managed to sell 24 craft CD's on Facebook for £32 today and they have just been collected. It was slightly less than I wanted for them but as they have been advertised for a few weeks and not sold I thought it was better than nothing
Plus it means I have gained a bit more space and edged a bit closer towards my target
Haven't had a chance to make anything today and probably won't for the next couple of days as although I love my mum and dad to bits they are very high maintenance when they are down and I get no time at all to get crafting

Thanks Craftyc - are you supposed to do a card for every day?! Or how does it work? I've never really been one for journalling much as I have awful writing and never know what to write anyway! I think it'll be a cute way of documenting my little boy though.
Made 2 cards last night and have another 1 to make tonight. I also have great plans to clear out my craft space(s) with ruthlessness so I can actually get to what I need without having to wade through rubbish to get at it!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
