Hi,
Haven't posted in a while. Sorry. Been feeling awful for the past week and a bit. Some evil bug going around work
Thankfully it means i have had lots of time to crochet whilst stuck on the couch and in bed.
i am currently 23 into my 50 pieces to make. I will either try to figure out how to get photos on here or will continue to list things on my blog and try to post photos or a link to that.
Latest makes include a cat bed, 2 cat blankets and 3 cat toys..all crocheted.
A crochet hook holder out of some old Cath Kidston material i found that i forgot i had.
2 Congratulations cards for a wedding and someone passing a driving test at work.
And i am currently making a gigantic granny square blanket for summer for on our bed. Lovely fine pistachio coloured wool. But it's taking forever. Currently only about 4 feet square and a long way to go.
I dug out a pattern for a scarf shaped like a cat that i wanted to make for ages. That'll be next, if this blanket ever gets finished.
Hope everyone else is getting on well with their challenges.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Wow some great stash busting going on and Im sorry your not feeling too well crazy
I might not be crafting for a few days as I unfortunately totalled my car yesterday morning. I was taking my 11 year old to a school trip at 6 in the morning skidded on some mud on a corner and ended up flying into a farmer's field.luckily the car didnt roll and my daughter and I got out with just severe bruising and shock. We are both really aching today and my head is throbbing so cant concentrate on anything for long. Plus I just want both my kids close to me as it made me realise I could have lost her and it's my fault.
Hoping to maybe do some crafting with both of them during the school holidays to help the healing process but know irs going to take time and think my mojo is going to be seriously affected
On the plus side my insurance premium will probably go up so much that with everything else going on I wont be able to buy any new stash so I will be forced to stash bustand you know what that wouldnt worry me in the slightest anymore as my children are alive and safe and that really is all that matters to me

I'm so sorry. That's horrid. I'm so glad you're both ok. Well, not ok I know. Badly bruised and beyond shaken up. But once they've healed you'll be ok. What I'm clumsily trying to say is I'm glad it wasn't anything worse.
I started driving this week for the first time since passing my test 9 years ago. So am still getting my confidence up. I imagine you'll be shaky for a while too once you're sorted with a new car. Will you get a loner from them until a new one is sorted?
Is your daughter ok after it all? Not too panicky or scared?Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Hi everyone.
Craftingmad such shocking news, so glad to hear no serious injuries. I really hope that you both recover soon. Sending get well soon wishes to you both.
Birdie85 I think that the general idea is that you can do as little or as much as you want. I think it was originally designed to do a weekly spread for the entire year. However, I have seen a lot of videos where people do a double page per month.
I don't intend to do either I am just going to work my way through my photos doing layouts as I see photos that I love. I have a scrapbook with 20 pages for roughly each year from my dd was born. These are usually a couple of holidays, birthday, days out with friends and Christmas, ice skating shows, sailing etc. I could never scrap every week of our lives and think I would get so far behind that I would give up too. I rarely journal as the photos and title are usually enough for me but I might try a bit harder as the journaling cards are already prepped to use. For me it is not about getting it all but those special moments.
I made up 30 kits out of my stash for a friend so adding that to my total as I used up loads of stuff.0 -
I have just realised it is valentines day after my beautiful children presented my with two lovely handmade cards made in secret from my stash so I have quickly made a card each for them. They are not my finest work as I am struggling to move my arms and cannot stop shakinh but I hope the thought counts
I am so lucky to be a mum. My kids are most definately my lifeMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Two more makes for me. I've covered a baked bean tin in washi tape to make a pretty container to keep my scissors, craft knife in. Ive also made another Christmas card.
I am continuing to work on my daughter's birth sampler cross stitch, (she's 3 now) but shouldn't take much longer.
Still can't post pics or links as I'm too new but I'll just keep posting and maybe I'll be able to one day!Stashbusting 27/500 -
Hi all,
Its a bruised and battered me but just reporting in to say well done on all your makes and stash busting efforts
I haven't made anything else since my last post but I have just had a lady come and collect the 44 Hunkydory topper sheets I advertised on Facebook. The poor lady actually came to collect them on Friday but obviously with the accident I wasn't there so I also threw in 12 sheets of sticker sheets as an apology.
So I am counting another 56 items towards the de-stashed total

Hi folks, sorry I haven't been on here for a while as I haven't done anything crafty for ages as I'm doing the konmarie thing.
But just wanted to say hope you start to feel better soon craftingmad, that must have been so scary for you - but please don't blame yourself, accidents happen to the best of drivers, and DD is probably less freaked out than you because she won't be imagining what could have happened like we adults tend to do.

Big hugs to you all - especially Craftingmad...
I have managed to line the print tray I got with different pieces of card stock...
I have decorated a 'sugar' tin with washi tape (will get to the coffee and tea tins soon). My partner bought them home from work for me...
The print tray took absolutely ages to do - and needed a good old scrub to clean up but it looks good. I'll have to get some kind of wall attachment brackets sorted...
Got a few bits done at least...
