Saver-upper, glad to hear everyone safe - thank goodness you were out of the car. Possibly takes decluttering to the extreme though
I had a stab at a capsule wardrobe last week and ended up with 24 items which I figured should last me a fortnight with ease. Although it's a bit unnerving when the wardrobe gets a week through and is half empty!
The rest of my clothes are strewn across the bed in the spare room whilst I try to put together a 'spring/summer' wardrobe and declutter the unworn stuff.
I also have a box of stuff which is slightly too small which I am going through. I want to keep a few items which I am nearly into, so that I have clothes to wear as I lose weight. However I realise I don't need as many as I actually have.
15 items have gone into the charity bag to be added to the tally this weekend hopefully."Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo

Saver-upper certainly a drastic de-cluttering method but thank goodness no one was hurt.

I am having a massive declutter.
Not sure how much I have thrown out. As most of it ended up in recycling.
I have a bag with for a charity shop. Another bag to give to my mum. A box full of shredding to be done.
And thanks to the person who mentioned about the carrier bag folding. I have a box of at least a couple of hundredand sat watching Stargate and folding. They will of course be used as rubbish bags. I think I will be here some time :rotfl:
I have culled my DVD collection. I have netflix sub so most of them are on there. 32 DVD's and about £9 back. Better than nothing, Just need to find a box to put them.
My living room is looking rather ummmm messy at the moment. And my fingers are blue from the carrier bags:rotfl: as they are all the same bag . Rather nice thick ones compared to the supermarket ones.
My little bedroom is starting to look a bit tidier.
Still not sure what to do with the xmas/birthday cards. As I do like to keep them. Even still have the valentines/xmas and wedding cards. we separated 3 years ago. Would have been married 15 years this march. Not sure what to do. I know I should chuck them but just can't. Stupid I know.

They were an important part of your life, with I hope happy memories, I would put them in a shoebox and tuck them neatly away, then they are either there to look back on, or when the time is right go into the recycling.
However having said that, I am the girl that has scanned hers, so I get rid of the actual paper but kept the image for memories, you could scan or photograph them.
Don't get rid in haste .....As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
