Well done everyone! You are all ace at keeping up the decluttering and at keeping me motivated. I got lots of decluttering done last year...300 items out of the house from 1st august to 1st dec. Then it all stopped for christmas. I've just got going properly again. I took 4 carrier bags of stuff to the charity shop yesterday and have spent most of today sorting and decluttering my bedroom. 2 carrier bags of rubbish and 4 more bags for charity shop. Plus 2 pictures and 3 carrier bags of vintage items to take to work (I sell vintage goodies). There's till a bit more to do in the bedroom but it's MUCH better than it was. I'm cream crackered now though so stopping for today.

I tried doing the 'folding t-shirts to store vertically' thing. My socks, t-shirts, hankies etc have never looked so neat (won't last ;-) and I freed up 3 drawers for other stuff! Great x

    40. Several items binned (from bedside table)

    41. Small area of floor cleared in bedroom (some of next year's present stock moved into wardrobe - also found some bits of card for recycling)

    42. A couple of things popped into the Brownies box

I've also done ordinary housework, but need to load the dishwasher still. The kitchen unit isn't looking great, but the stuff is mainly for the dishwasher. It should take me five minutes later.

And my living room will be a little bit tidier LOL!!!

The only thing today has been food!!!!

I'm going to declutter. I have a PC desk arriving which is about £18, only thing is my stupid armchair always gets in the way. I have looked at other desks only to have to say no because of my stupid armchair obstructing the area. Might have to swing it round which isn't the easiest thing to do!

    Evening All
Some out of date spices and an indoor planter with bulbs that sprouted up well but didn't flower. That's it so far today. I did get a nice letter from charity shop saying my donations had made them over £50, plus gift aid and enclosing some stickers to put on any future bags of stuff. Nice to see it's not just me benefiting from decluttering and it should spur me on a bit.

I think what has helped me decide to do this is relative died last november and seen what is being dealt with.

they took thousands of photos don't know who half of them are.

A big house stuffed to the gills of stuff. That someone else has to deal with.

Cheques that have never been cashed caught up in other paperwork.

    It just goes on.

Keep it up you are doing well

    Yours

Oh dear this moving rooms malarky is starting to get on my nerves.
Last night I was meant to sugar-soap walls of the third (and final!) room to be decorated. But OH has sooooooo much work to do this weekend ,so painting will not be done this weekend.
Gradually, very slowly, things are being moved into the second room we have decorated (eldest daughter has still not been able to move into her room because it is mine and OH's room, and it is toooooooo full of everyone else's stuff.)

Anyway, the really good news is that we have been getting rid of stuff :j:j:j:j.As nearly-6yo and 8yo were decluttering their toys,it became apparent they have the problem of far too many stuffed toys.So I told them they are allowed to take "only" 20 stuffed toys into their new room, the rest goes to charity. They filled 4 garbage bags with stuffed toys for charity icon_eek.gif.I will count them individually when they finally leave the house.
Does anyone know how I contact Alexio's toy Hospital to donate to them?

Later I will post my list of things donated today.Have already started filling the next bag to go (Tuesday, hopefully).
