Going to start with today as being day 1 -

5. 2 sky boxes in car for recycle centre at the tip
6. 2 items of clothes and pair of shoes put in bag as belong to sis

I have been reading the KonMarie thread as well as this one and am so inspired by everyone.
Today I have done the drawers in my bedroom and now have really organised drawers, 2 spare drawers and a bin bag of 'rubbish'.
Thanks to everyone for the inspiration - my house will be organised and de-cluttered this year !!0 -
I have headed over to the konmari thread too, so inspiring! I also read an enormous thread on it on mums net too.
Discarding wise, I have tackled some electricals today:
19. Kettle
20. Stereo/cd player
21. Bag of wires and cables
22. 2x keyboards
23. 2 x vcr players
24. Batteries and light bulbs since I was going to the tip
25. 3x large plastic boxes they were stored in
26. Put the stairgate outside
27. Saucepan that doesn't give me joy (in fact it makes me curse every time I touch it!) to cs bag
19-25 were taken to the tip however I forgot to take the light up reindeer that doesn't work!0 -
18. A file of paper sorted and stuff shredded.
19. Several old catalogues recycled.
20. Some costume jewellery to CS
21. Old car sold.
22. One pair boots - bin
23. One pair old trainers - bin
24. Some old cosmetics - bin
I am a bit slow this week as I haven't had a chunk of time to focus. Like others I am trying to keep on top of things like post and filing as a new habit to help keep out the clutter. However, I do have a backlog and keep finding piles tucked into different places!
Also, found 3 ancient mobile phones and loads of charging leads - not sure how to get rid of these yet.
Have to do the dreaded tax return so have also been gathering what I need together for that.
For anyone thinking about decluttering but not sure if they can find the time or energy; I am finding it gives a bit of an uplift at a time of year which can be difficult.
Thank you everyone0
