Always on going! Clutter busting here!
We have just invested in x2 - 4 drawer plastic storage towers.
Drawers for my sewing crafting recycled material. bits and bobs.
2nd drawers are for grandchildren's few toys.

Card boxes in the recycle bin .
Just starting to knit grand baby a new cardigan for Easter gift. Free pattern and using wool from my stock.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)
  • Braved DS2's bedroom and collected 3 bags of rubbish off the floor and cabinets - empty water bottles, soft drinks cans and other assorted junk.Sorting through it now to see what can be recycled, binned or rehomed.

    Well done, Elasticmoney:T

You work so hard decluttering for your whole family. It looks as if DS2 had mountains of stuff to throw out:eek:. Is he old enough yet to be able to help a bit by tidying up after himself?

One pair of Aldi walking shoes - replaced with a pair of Nike Air trainers £5.99 from Oxfam

One bottle of conditioner - Food Bank for Saturday morning

One bottle of shampoo - Ditto

    One bottle of 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner - Ditto

Two bottles of shower gel - Ditto

Two bottles of mens deodorant/antiperspirant - Ditto

The rubbish and recycling went out yesterday with extra bags of rubbish from a general clean up of the back yard.

There's tons still to do out there, but bad weather and a 'small glitch' means someone from the council has to come out and inspect the problems tomorrow.
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

A very busy decluttering day.I am not happy with the amount of "little messes" I have made around the house, but am still very pleased with the state of the bedrooms (completed the third and final bedroom today :j:j:j).

In 12yo daughter's room I had stored a couple of boxes/bags of toys to be sorted: it was all going, but it was all toys I wanted to check the condition of/all pieces present before donating,or photograph before selling. Some boxes I opened and they only contained scraps of,eg,drawing set,so it was binned.

I will list stuff for charity when it finally goes to the shop (made it as far as the boot of the car so far :D),but binned or recycled rubbish out of the house today:
825:old,flimsy domino run cardboard frames recycled(had been in the loft for yearsssssssssssss)
826:associated domino run plastic bits binned
    827: kid's cheap braceletbinned
    828: foam mosaic kit leftovers/packaging binned/recycled
    829: Tubie puzzle,broken,binned
    830: empty box
    831:small doll's change mat
    832: kid's broken necklace
833: Dora the Explorer colouring book
    834:small wooden toy
    835:expand-in-water-dinosaur.

Also in DD's room was a bedside cabinet intended for son's room, but first I wanted to empty the drawers of my stuff.Well, that is a day's work on it's own .Just picking around in it for 10 miutes today I got rid of
836:a bottle of perfume that must be 12 years old!Binned
837: a bottle of arnica tablets that I know was bought 13 years ago,and had an expiry date of Nov 2004 .
I also found 6 £1 coins,so put them in my sealed pot :j
838:the tiny dominos that came with above-mentioned domino run, I gave to DD's teacher to use in classroom (they were all lovely bright colours-will probably be used for counting/sorting etc)

839: yesterday I took a bag of make-and-do stuff to the school

I am thrilled to finally have finished the last bedroom: bags of stuff put in either the car boot to go to charity,or in built-in cupboard in box room (3rd bedroom).Son's bedside table moved to his room,DD's room vacuumed.

    All bedrooms look beautiful.
But I have let the rest of the house slide this week.
Too many little messes lying around icon_rolleyes.gif.

Well done everyone some brilliant decluttering being done by all.

Today a big carrier bag of pre usd Jiffy bags should be leaving the house to someone from freecycle.
not Sure what else I have planned but would like a bit more to go.
