A very bitty day today, but few bits out of the house:

    Out for recycling:

840: Moshi Monsters book, pages falling out so couldn't go to charity, unfortunately
    841-843: 3 Moshi Monster magazines
844: 2003 diary, found when I was sorting out bedside table the other day
845: a placemat. Not sure if it will be collected from recycling box.If not, will throw into bin after recycling day.Not sure if cork is recycleable
    846-853:8 coasters,as above.
854-861:egg cartons. They have been hanging around for months because a particular green-grocer's I know of uses them. When I got there, the green-grocer's had been turned into a coffee shop .So I am about to put them out for recycling, and will stop collecting them and just recycle instead.

I have also put aside a few things aside for donation.I really would like to have gone to charity shop (I have still got stuff in the boot from last week),but just couldn't muster up the energy.

    8. Book returned to owner
    9. Kitchen utensil holder to friend

Hoping to be able to drop the charity bag off tomorrow, which will boost my total. I need to get a wriggle on with sorting more stuff to go out, as halfway through the month already.

I have started reading 'for fun' again, in the hope that I can let go of a few more books, as if I didn't particularly enjoy a book, then I am happy to pass it on. However Uni work has to take priority as there is a group activity going on for the next two weeks, with the first deadline tomorrow evening. I need to have read another chapter of textbook by then.

Our family will be celebrating Mother's day next week because our nearly 12yo was away on a school trip this weekend. So,being Sunday, today I :
    -deep-cleaned the kitchen
-created more floor space in the lounge-room by stacking OH's piles of boxes higher
    - have been sorting out my "little messes" (have instead turned them into one big mess in the middle of the lounge-room floor :rotfl:).
    -tidied front hall
    -deep-cleaned bathroom
-am still catching up with loads of washing.
    - sorted books and toys, setting aside more to donate.

Lots of recycling/packaging left the house today, not counting that.
The only countables that went out today:
    862:kid's paperback book
863:inflight magazine from August 2011
864: used colouring book. This is the sort of stuff I have always had trouble getting rid of "because xxxx did that with their own fair hand, when he/she was very little",but I am getting ruthless this year
865: bag of rubbish that I have filled while decluttering.Since starting decluttering this year,I have a big garbage bag standing up in the hallway for all types of tat related to decluttering:the broken bits of toys, broken pens, all sorts of randomness.I think this is the second one I have filled.Always feels :T when one of those leave the house.
