I want cookie-dough ice cream now...............
I have had a very busy and productive day today, though nothing has actually left the house .But FINALLY the bedrooms are starting to take shape :j:j.
The rest of the family went out (all needed to buy birthday presents for assorted parties this weekend),while 11yo son, whose room was carpetted this week, and I, moved his boxes of books and toys into his room.It was a lovely couple of hours-with 4 children,it is hard to get 1:1 time with any of them.We made a cooked breakfast together, then got on with moving his stuff into his room.Since Christmas he had ,with lots of huffing and sighing, decluttered alot of toys/books,and today he was really taking care with how he was arranging his room.He even cleaned the windows, inside and out .
He kept a few books to put on his window-sill,but most were going to be moved onto the "communal" book-case I was going to establish later in the day.
His room looks lovely. The poor thing hardly seems to own anything:everything he owns fits in one under-bed storage box, half of the top of his chest of drawers, and about 2.5 shelves of a unit like this:
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8757685.htm
So that emptied about 4 boxes :T.
This afternoon OH and I moved the book-case that had been in this box room when the 6- and 8yo girls were in it,into the dining room.[STRIKE]We were[/STRIKE] I was then able to empty about 5 boxes of books into that .That took HOURS and definitely cleared floor-space in two bedrooms.
I am really happy with today's results.Tomorrow will be a day of consolidation: I know son's room is done, eldest's room still has boxes of (mostly my) stuff in.The 6/8yo's room has a few boxes (and wardrobe space to empty them into :j:j).There will also be the usual washing, cleaning kitchen, ironing uniforms, running kids around birthday parties..............
Looking forward to seeing the results tomorrow night.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Hiya everyone
Oh dear, oh dear
Think I've just discovered a bit of over-zealous de-cluttering.
I went looking for my black lace-ups for DH to polish so I could pack them for my holiday. I can't find them but found an old pair of garden shoes that I thought I'd thrown out in the place that my lace-ups should have been
I'll have another look the morrow but think they're gone
Hope you all have a super Sunday

Cookie dough ice cream.....
Must..........not.........must..........resist.
Quite probably as a result of too much cookie dough ice cream, I need Duraphat toothpaste and soft tooth brushes.
So tonight, I'm taking four unopened tubes of toothpaste and two unopened toothbrushes to the food bank box at work.
Along with four packets of hankies. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -

Finally had my mother read the Marie Kondo book and she has produced 7 bags of clothes to go to the charity shop, which is barely scratching the surface! I have weeded another bag out of my wardrobe today, as well as two bags of hangers, so feeling pleased.0
