Good morning,
Made another batch of soup last night, potato and leek. Had to add some grilled bacon at the end though as it was a bit bland. Another SFD today.
Finished of the crocheted stash basket for my friend and the blackboard paint arrived today so will make that tonight.

Great mini challenge Loveadove just what I need today to take the blues out of January. A year ago today my sister passed away, thinking positive her suffering is over and so many happy memories to enjoy - will have a drink to her later.
Today a small payment of 6.74 off my cards. Daughter phoned not collecting grandson today so will avoid the joys of Lidl another day, was going to kill half an hour before collection, and keep a SFD up to 10 now.
Positives today.
1. Haven't such a bad job, listening to The Manics whilst shuffling paper about my desk.
2. Be able to have a long walk later, as child free. Dog will be happy one
3. Having awesome daughters and yummy grandson who live so close, see lot of them.

Hello everyone!!
Sorry for nil check in yesterday. I meant to come on, but I fell asleep at 7pm and slept until 7:30 this morning
Thanks for my wonky muddy crownlol! Apart from the £5 I found a measly 1p and thousands of beer bottle tops and nigh on millions of wodges of chewing gum!
Yesterday and today are both SFD/WTW & LTW.
Takes me to 9 SFD's for the month! Halfway there just in time! :j
Bobarella I work in the same job that I did before I went on maternity leave, but when I came back I cut down to 3 days per week from 2 and took the pro-rata pay cut with it. Either coming back full time (which I don't want) or doing a part time evening job after Jellytot is asleep would crucify me in tax, and cut my tax credits down far more than it would earn me. So I sit tight and work 3 days a week for £13k a year salary. And spend time with Jelly and keep house etc in the rest of the time.
Grateful things for yesterday:
1. Good news for numerous friends on the board which made me very happy
2. Feeling mostly human by the end of my working day sat in my chair
3. Falling asleep on the sofa and having the sense to go to bed for over 12 hours sleep which was obviously needed!
Positives for today:
1. Work being flexible with my start time so that I could see the doctor
2. Tiger balm
3. Him has tidied and vacuumed and washed the pots and done a load of washing so my evening will be easy
Will be back later on tonight hopefully

Hello,
great news about my job. Was meant to get an extension till March 16 but they made it open ended as I had enough extensions prior to this.
Today I am grateful for
1. my open ended contract and job security (well till they fire me or the money runs out)
2. My duvet jacket in this storm
3. for living on this side of the river as the bridge is shut
4. The busses running on time for the first time in months, long may it continueDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
I'm going to safely declare today a SPD that makes 8.
Today's positives;
1. I sold the puppy crate that's been taking up space for nearly 2 years and the £15 I got for it takes up far less room
2. I have a much tidier house compared to this morning just as I had hoped for!
3. Homemade pizza for tea - yum!

Spendy day, £1.55 for choc, crisp and a diet drink and I was so trying to hang on until tomorrow - aiming to go to mum's so need to pay for the bus. Not having a great day. Was planning to have a laze about and watch cumfy tv but had an e-mail from the energy company so spent all afternoon tracking back through my bills and jotting down figures before replying.
Been wondering about the January blues as it is the second time in two days when something minor upset me rather than me just shrugging it off. Trying not to brood over it.
So, positive hat on:-
1) Found some 'free' turkey in the freezer - had thought I only had one white sliced (+ 1 brown and one bag scraps) and there were two. Find I can go for a few days looking at what's in the fridge and what I'm going to do, then hit a day when I can't think further than a cheese spread butty.
2) The pain in my leg is just part of the recovery process. Muscles that haven't been able to/ allowed to do their jobs for months are now having to remember what they are for.
3) A quick walk to the post office walking against the wind is just as invigorating as a long walk through the woods (maybe next month).
Going to have a lazy evening as tomorrow will be a challenge. The bus stop is good three blocks away and then coping with 2 smallies and 2 dogs (including mad puppy who's no longer a puppy but hasn't modified her behaviour along with her size). Mum says the baby (who was quite good last time I saw her) has turned into a little demon who walks round hitting people (I told them not to keep 'no-noing' her all the time). Ah well think of the shower and free food.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
NSD number 7 today. Decided to stay put and just manage without heating or hot water, rather than hassle my parents as they already have 2 guests staying with them.
So today I am grateful for:
1. Having a kettle & electricity to enable me to still wash myself and my hair this morning!
2. My lovely cat keeping me company while DH is away.
3. My puffer coat keeping me toasty on this chilly day.Letting Go NST #17

Back to work for me today. Didn't prepare very well last night so it was a rush to get out of the house in time and I didn't get chance to pick up anything for lunch. Luckily, I still have a stash of food in my locker that I was able to raid. Went for a walk at lunchtime but didn't find any roadkill.
Also forgot to take anything out of the freezer for tonight and forgot what was on my meal planner so phoned DH to take out sausages. Wasn't what was planned, but at least it didn't end up in another take away and it has been a SFD. Have been offered some free tickets through work for an event that is in town this weekend, so that will make a nice, free night out for us.
DS is much better today.
I am grateful for:
- my beautiful, healthy and happy children
- perks of the job
- my warm and cosy house0 -
Hi everyone,
I think I've caught up with the last post I managed to read before work went insane (I switched jobs and was thrown in at the deep end! Still, at least I can't say I'm bored lol) hugs to people who need them and high fives to those that don't
Have managed another 4 NSD's since I last checked in and found a total of zero roadkill. Seriously think I jinxed myself when I signed up!
Lost a NSD today with an additional credit card payment and toast. If I keep making a payment every time I buy toast, the average cost of my toast per slice is going to be about £70!!
Today I am grateful for:
- the OH getting back into YNAB and taking control of his finances again
