picked up major roadkill today not sure if it count though. when Driving noticed a chaise lounge (spelling?) on the side of the road stopped knocked on the door no answer and it was raining so put it in the back of my car. Can it count as my mum has always wanted one and never got one as its a luxury. Anyway i thought a nice throw a couple of pillows and bob's your uncle birthday present.Worth alot of money brand new. Called later to say i took it but no one in , going to leave a note tomorrow with phone number on incase?DD1 getting into mse. Its her friends birthday soon and she wants a particular book DD1 has, so she went on line and bought a old library copy and said she would make her some sweets and biscuits for her party. She's also made liquorice toffees to take to london with her as they are granma's favourite.
Dog food ordered saved £3 and 10 packets of chews free. Been shopping as its marmalade making season. DD1 been to have an injection today to prevent cervical cancer and she said she's glad she'd not worried about it as it would of been a waste of her time wasn't as bad as her friends had made out. It was quite funny as the liquid spurted out of her arm after they'd done it and its not supposed to do that. You probably had to be there to find it funny!budgets = food gone:eek:/ petrol almost gone:eek:/nsd:mad:/ Treats: where the money gone? far far away:mad:/exercise not happening/declutter: only my purse:(
time for me :fat chance0 -
I've joined the fitbit flex bandwagon. Picked one up with some sainsbos vouchers i won at christmas. Still figuring out how it all works, got it synced with MFP though.
Made a bit of a boo boo though. I'm not really a pink girl and there was only pink available. However there was the extra bands avaiable. I just picked up a box so that I could wear a different colour. Got home and realised I had picked up small. They just fit on the last hole. Will take them back and get medium or large, or a refund.
Got some veg whilst I was there and some material dormats. I keep getting muddy prints on my new wood floor!Feb NST #4

Wow Sazzle what an incredible piece of roadkill!!!
Bobarella I feel positively saintly at all my decluttering. I also decluttered half a tub of ice cream out of the freezer and replaced the space with pots of homemade beef and lentil bolognese for jelly... :rotfl:
Had some bad news from my mum today about her treatment. She will need 6 rounds of chemo, 15 of radiotherapy and 5 years of the chemo hormone drug. They are 'throwing the kitchen sink at it' as she puts it. She has decided to get her head shaved pre-chemo, and persuaded her that rather than donating any money raised to cancer research (which already gets more than enough!) she should either put it to something chronically underfunded, i.e. children's brain tumours, or to a local woman's son near to her who has cystic fibrosis and has recently had NHS funding for his operation to allow him to walk cut. She decided on the local boy which is great as he has already had the op after locals raised £50,000 to cover it  but he still needs a lot of private physio
Yay to extra shifts Bob - wish I could pick up extra every now and again. Actually looked at part time jobs locally today. And decided against the serious tax implicationsso I did a couple of home insurance searches via TCB instead and earned £5 between them in cashback.
Thrifty am in shock at your childcare bill. That is just horrifying... you poor things!

I'm afraid I have to make a confession - we were very late leaving hospital with DS (they were threatening to keep him in, but feel much happier having him home) so we got a takeaway on the way home. It was nearly £13 and will come out of this months shopping budget.0

lilt sorry to hear about your mum and I really hope the treatment is effective. Hugs. Great choice for the donation. My cousin has cystic fibrosis and because it's rather rare compared to other illnesses so is funding.
Our childcare bill eats about a third of our joint income, but we earn just too much to get help which is obviously fair enough. At the same time I needed to go back fulltime to keep my foot in the door career wise. Not a natural SAHM anyway. So I get the best of both worlds in my eyes and it's only for another 8 month till it will be down to hopefully 400 for both if DD gets into the uni nursery too and DS will start school next year.
Only listed my items on eBay a few hours ago and got watchers fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear about your mum Lilt. Poor thing. And poor you having to go through the worry. How amazing of her to take that view to earn money for others. Obviously a wonderful person.
I am glad of the extra yes, can you work at all or is it just not worth it? I know they make it so hard for people with all these rules and regulations.
Welsh kitty - sounds very sensible given the circumstances. Hope your DS will be ok now." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Another spend day for me- I hadn't been paying attention to my fuel- as I had still been using a tank of fuel that had not been used over the Christmas period and noticed today that it was very low! Got a refund on my rubbish car charger for my mobile as it did not work. Bought my ma a lovely white choc Birthday cake and some seeds and bulbs to add to her Birthday presents.
Found a whole penny money roadkill today! Total now stands at 6p! :T

Another NSD yesterday, hopefully one more today to top off my run to payday tomorrow (which will definitely be a spendy day, with direct debits and petrol tanks aplenty
). Struggled through the pouring rain yesterday to get my walk at lunchtime in, complete with coat, hat and boots - looked a bit silly but felt so much better for doing it! Market research tonight, £35 for an hour so that's good. Fed up with work and the weather, but hopefully things will improve soon - I can't believe it's halfway through January already!
