  • Apple!!!! Is DD ok?!?! Goodness me that sounds frightening. Any parents worst nightmare. I hope you're both ok?!?

Bobarella Jelly is 2, 3 in April :o are you asking because of nappies? She should be out of them, and we have tried, but nursery and mummy are in agreement, she just isn't ready. She is a real bright spark in other areas, but nursery said due to her food intolerances her digestive system can be a little tricky and she gets very panicky without a nappy so for now we are rolling with it until she shows signs of being more interested in trying the potty. Right now she has practically a panic attack if you try and get her to sit on the potty :( she costs me an arm and a leg in the blooming things. Apple knows my struggles of a couple of months ago :(

Shyspender the supermarkets have some amazing free from ingredients now. Pasta, lasagne sheets, everything. They have a b!chamel too in my local Mr S. I made one yesterday with only 2 tablespoons of flour, as it incorporated creme fruit and that helped to thicken it up! Love b!chamel... the nutmeg.. mmmm :D reminds me to make a lasagne soon! I might try a veggie one.

Lilt Thanks. When I do it I want to try and avoid the pre-made. Not making lasagne or pasta. There is a starter me and the OH have in Zozzo's that is bread to dip in a fondue type thing. It's not a proper fondue though, it's just a thick cheese sauce. I can do the bread gluten free just wasn't sure about the sauce. Thinking cap is still on.

yes you definately need gluten free Doves plain flour to make a bechamel sauce. It is just butter, milk & flour so you need the thickening agent the flour brings.

However if you are planning lasagne don't forget the lasagne sheets will need to be GF too.

Bob, thanks for this. It's just the sauce I want to make for what I'm planning.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Lilt - gosh no. I wouldn't judge in any case. Just getting an idea from your postings. Filling in the characters as it were :) I don't remember you mentioning nappies?

So my Horray moment just came. I found out I have been selected to take part in an online focus group that will pay me £50 directly to my paypal. On Wednesday night. That's amazing luck as due to no fault of my own I have to miss work this Wednesday and as I'm self employed I won't get paid. So instead of working a 5 hour shift I will earn the same for 1 hour of tapping away at the keyboard. Cos I hate that obviously :)

Thank you for all the concern, peeps. Dd is home and slowly starting to recover. It make take a while, as she eats like a sparrow on a good day!

I had a soup spillage today - the tupperware lid wasn't on properly and the soup went from the pot into my lunchbag and then into my rucksack. When I discovered it - in the middle of a year 10'lesson! - I couldn't'face the cleaning up, so shoved a load of tissues into my rucksack. On getting home, I tipped it up and came across 6p! I shall coumt it as my first roadkill of the challenge :D.

Off to sit quietly with a struggling dd, to hopefully help her settle and sleep. xx

SFD #11. Another day another 1p roadkill.

Went for longer walk but had to rest a couple of times.

Resting mostly and getting on with sewing - set a target of 30 items completed by weekend and 100 by the end of the month.

Happy End of Monday, Turtles!! :j

This wind and rain really is putting a bit of a dampener on things for a number of our turtle companions. This weather though does make me appreciate being able to come home, wrap up in a blanket with a hot beverage and listen to the rain. The wind was very noisy here last night as well, may have to invest in ear plus tonight if there is a repeat performance by Mother nature!
