Hi, Everyone, sorry to jump on your posts, but I searched the forum for 'fitbit' and it send me here :)

Does anyone have the flex and push a pushchair? I can't decide between the flex or the zip because most of the time I'm walking with DS in a pushchair and I heard that the flex doesn't track as well if you're holding onto something. I also heard that the zip has connection problems and the battery runs out quite quickly....there's only about £5 difference between them in sainsbury's and I can't decide which one to get!

    xx

    Hi all

Having a bit of a 'meh' type day. Had a great night out and only spent £14.95 on dinner - friends brought me soft drinks in return for a lift and I found free car parking :) Today I should have gone to the gym but was supposed to meet a friend and had a lot of work to do, so put off the gym, then she cancelled but my work has taken ages so far so I still haven't gone to the gym, and I've ate way too much :( Just being a bit grumpy :rotfl:

I am already over on my food budget, but this did include my Christmas food, which I just guestimated how much I would need.

I can't find any roadkill :( any tips?

Fmess do any of your normal activities take you near to a secondary school especially just after lunch ends or going home time - teenagers are well known for not picking up money they drop so worth planning a walk on a day off to go past sweet/ chip shops near to school or bus stops they might congregate at - even if they would pick up money, they won't if there are other schoolkids around. A certain fast food joint has also proved lucrative in the past (teenagers again). I may try early hours trawl past the pubs now that I am back in the town centre but our Town Centre cleaners start early. I could also go round the car park for my walk - used to be a regular money spinner for the boys. People pull out a handful of change looking for the right coins for the machine then if they drop something and it rolls under the car, the forget to pick it up when they move the car to go home. Supermarket car parks good - look for wombled receipts at the same time.

DS1's cat has the record at our house. He was playing pouncing on the leaves. DS1 stopped him to look at the 'pretty blue leaf' clutches in his paws - a £5 note. DS1 tried really hard to train him to catch more.

Thanks mothernerd, I actually work at a secondary school but barely leave my classroom, I'll have to do a trawl of the school after lunch or at the end of the school day. The other day a student told me he dropped £2 in change during lunch and didn't pick it up because he couldn't be bothered!

I always look in the supermarket car park (and for receipts) but barely find any :( Maybe I just go at the wrong time :rotfl:

Howdy folks. Here to report another Sfd takes my total to 8. Decided to just rest today felt lousy yesterday. Had a couple of breezy dog walks on a hilltop. Tried to declutter my wardrobe but everything went back in.

Found 9p in different handbag roadkill? Well counting it as such.

My body is in shock - back from walk and it's been fed 2 oranges!!

Bath and hair wash then flop on couch. Lovely having a whole day to myself.

Hope the turtles are brighter today.

I've had quite a productive day today. This morning I made £19 at a small indoor boot sale. This afternoon I used up 1kg of mushrooms to make soup and 3 overripe bananas for some delicious banana bread muffins. That should sort out LTW for the next few days!

So far I haven't spent, so claiming a NSD as unlikely to go out anywhere now...

Back to SFD. Tackled the ivy - still a lot to do but getting there, green bin nearly full for next week. Don't know how much more I can do as at some point a branch or two will have to be lopped and they're about 8' up (to do it safely I'd have to take off all the top branches attached to them, another 2 - 3 feet). So will have to wait but got it a lot closer to the wall, messy but it will grow back stronger once all this dead wood has gone. put it up to hide the multi-storey car park and they've flattened that again now.

Sewing going well, got a few things on the go. Been for my walk and found 6p roadkill, 3p where the skateboarders hang out. Not doing well with meal planning, I keep eating my ingredients. The box of pot herbs (cabbage, leeks, celery and carrots) that was supposed to make stew with what's left of the brown turkey meat has been eaten raw with a little dressing, baked potatoes for lunch (3 started as medium but cut all the eyes as little lumps to chit for planting) and just had the bacon (pasta or muffins) with half the remaining med veg and a few mushrooms. At least that means the remaining leek could go with the cabbage and ends of celery to make a new batch of pot herbs.

Today I am grateful for good things to eat, for things that grow and for muscles (just walked across the room and am suddenly aware of lots of them - going back on the bed now, need the padding).
