Just a quick pop in to say well done to Somerandom on the weight loss.
I need to lose some as I think I have put about a stone on this year and it is all around my middleIf I get rid of it I will have quite a few clothes that are a bit on the snug side now :rotfl:
My budget was also blown a while ago (well done to those of you who managed to stick to yours) but I'm not too worried. I think a budget of £150 was too low in a year when I got rid of lots of stuff. My budget for next year will be £300 and I intend to stick to it.
I have a couple of spends to confess to: lovely silk Phase Eight too in a cranberry colour 4.99 from cs (good for Christmas I'm thinking) and grey Phase Eight cardi with lace trim £6 with postage from Fleabay. Also went to a clothes swap last week and bagged a Weird Fish sweatshirt in a light lavender colour, blue White Stuff tunic, pink cotton scarf, blue scarf with birds on and brand new purple gloves, so a good haul :T
I have really enjoyed this thread so far, and it has made me much more aware of the choices I am making. Thanks for all your supportCrazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -
Just dropped my 2 bargain wool coats off at the dry cleaners and £23 lighter now  But I am thinking Laura Ashley long riding style coat cost about £295 new  And the Per una one was about £125 looking at similar so £420 worth of coats for £36 cant be bad including the cleaning
So I am happy no more money spent which is good as my budget has gone for this year.
Glad we are all going to do this challenge again next year as I do think (ish) what I am buying nowThank you all for the support and roll on to staying under budget next year

How do you manage to have such low budgets?
Next year I intend only to buy if I need it from Charity Shops or ebay.
Sell on eaby and cash for clothes.
I have stocked up this year to say the least.0 -
I'd love to join this challenge for next year, however will have to think hard about my budget as thanks to a 2 stone weight loss and the joys of KonMari I've very little remaining in my wardrobe so will need to try and replenish slightly.
I'm thinking about doing seasonal capsule wardrobes, but hopefully some items will transition through the full year.£10 a day challenge 2015: £772.72 * January 2016 £116.15/£310 * November 2016 £257.18/£300

Welcome to those who have joined us for next year,
I agree with RowanI've also found this thread very helpful in terms of making me more conscious about my clothes spending which has helped me back better choices. I also set my budget too low at £120. I will come in at around £300 this year - will give some thought about the right budget for next year.
Only downside of this thread - the more successful we are in the challenge the less we get to post (& I like talking to you lot) ....
.... but you can rely on me to need to post :rotfl: - Uttami beaded dress £10 CS - my Christmas dressShifting my energy for 20200 -
I bought some underwear yesterday, lovely matching sets that are colourful as everything in my drawer was white/black/skin tone and boring. Spent £30.50 but won't add it to the total.
Another one here planning only spends from CS where possible next year.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Somerandom your Christmas dress was a bargain, well done.
I agree with you, the more we resist, the less we post
Towser I had a budget of £150 but waved goodbye to it some time backat the beginning of the year I was similar to you, had Kondo'd my clothes and needed to give my wardrobe a boost. Although I spent more than my budget, I probably got ££££!s worth of clothes by shopping in charity shops, buying makes such as Jaeger, Kew, Phase Eight and Karen Millen - things I wouldn't be able to afford new.
I cannot tell a lie, I have bought some Phase Eight black jeggins for £10 and a lovely new blue and grey Mint Velvet kimono style top for £20 (label says £99) off Fleabay but had sold a couple of things so only had to pay £15 for both. These will be my Christmas outfit with my black boots.
Also found a plum coloured silk Phase Eight top in the cs for £4 - it would have been a shame to pass it by
Jazee it's nice to have new matching undies and colourful sets will make you smile when you get dressed.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -
Bought a pair of socks- had a discount. Happy that I am still under budget for the year.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Hi everyone
I havent posted as I HAVE NOT SPENT any money on clothes :rotfl:Since the bargain coats so well pleased with myself
Welcome to the new joiners for next year
I am going to lower my budget for next year and set it at £300 which is low for me.
This challenge really does make you think about what you buy and I have made far less mistakes this year;)
Another one here who has put a bit of weight on this year (Same as you Rowan Moon ) Around my middle it must be our age :rotfl:So some things are slightly snug or very snug :rotfl:
So will get on the healthly wagon now to get rid of it. As I am NOT buying a bigger size of anything
