Blackberry leather boots sound gorgeous, enjoy them :)

Giving myself a gold star for not buying a winter hat in TKMaxx today, yes it was an amazing purple, orange, green and white knit with a warm fleece inside, but it was £9.99.......which would put quite a dent in my £50!

Towards the end of August bought a couple of MUCH needed items for my holiday. Annoyed that I had lost my No Spend Month but went off to warmer, drier climates for 5 days and didn't have suitable attire.
Bought all items in the sale. Total cost £67.00 (should have been over £100 at full price). Used four items more than once!

Something rather nice happened - originally I was supposed to have three items sent to me to review from China, but only two arrived. I emailed the sellers and they invited me to choose some more items from their entire range online, in addition to sending me the missing item. So I have enroute an evening cardigan, a lightweight hoodie type top and a longline waistcoat. The waistcoat is really more of a sleeveless jacket in the way it is cut, not totally sure about it, but I have absolutely nothing like it in my wardrobe and hey, it's free.
Snag: coming from China so could take weeks to arrive!

  • nothing to report here ...although could have easily brought three pairs of wedges from the CS shop ..but temptation resisted.

Happy to report a No Spend Month. I did buy a new nightie and dressing gown for half price in the sale but used my gift card to pay for that which was a present. Also bought some new walking trousers at last, these have been on my list to replace for nearly a year. Used last years Christmas money for these and also bought a new walking jacket using money I specifically saved up for it. That's taken all year to get that amount but I did it.

My spends I count are unplanned spends out of my main account not ones I save up for and plan a spend or use a gift card for.

  • Thanks LilySue & Mav - blackberry leather boots are gorgeous - can't wait to wear them. Only snag is they led me (blaming the boots not my lack of willpower :o) to buy a pair of skinny jeans in the CS - Tommy Hilfiger Denim - £4.99. They are a perfect match for each other. But it didn't stop there...... 2 items from the pound rail - lovely purple fat face top & deep pink linen trousers from Monsoon (might end up selling those) ... Not a lot of money spent but I can feel a mild case of the CS bug creeping back in.....:o

The slippery slope was calling yesterday. :o Tried on a lovely Phase Eight cream long jumper but it had 3/4 length sleeves which I hate  So put it back on the rail and no money spent :) Was pretty pleased with myself 3 days in ;)
somerandom They do sound like bargains and you really do need something to match your new boots. You will have to try and shut your eyes from now on like I have to ;)

    Good luck to all

  • It's a deal MavvyMoo - eyes closed when near a charity shop from now on.

Unfortunately I made this vow too late to avoid spending another £3.50 this morning (beautiful black silk dress) :o But from now on - eyes closed definitely :A
